my personal take on the matter
it really is kind of interesting how attached people are to the idea of the improvised line and the genuine reaction in film. nearly every single famous moment or line has some sort of claim floating around that it wasn't in the script and was either made up on the spot by an actor or was sprung as a surprise on the actors to get their 'real' reaction. you know, sometimes people do come up with good lines in advance and write them down, and sometimes people can pretend to be have a convincing emotional response on screen
"pretend to be have a convincing emotional response on screen," also known as "acting"

Uh oh, the owner of the house caught us
Crazy proportions on this dude
for hire: hard working pebsi peeling crew of 3.
(Mouse requested a bedtime story about “nothing.”)
Once upon a time there was nothing, and it lived in the corner of Mouse’s room. There was space between the bed and the cupboard that was big enough for nothing else.
There wasn’t much room for nothing in Mouse’s house. Everything everywhere had something in it, and sometimes more. Everywhere that looked like it might have nothing really had something, like dust or a cornflake or a LEGO head or a shadow, and if it looked like there was nothing for even a moment, someone would come and put something there.
It was very hard to be nothing in Mouse’s house. Every corner had something in it, and if it didn’t, there was a spider living there. Everything was always some colour or another, and usually some noise. Everyone was always putting a book down on you. Or spilling Ribena on you and pretending they hadn’t. Or complaining that there was no room for anything, and shifting about all the other things, but never making room for nothing - only moving it uncomfortably about the house. “Nothing’s ever where I put it in this house,” they’d say, but complaining.
And even when they weren’t doing all that, they were always talking about nothing. Someone would always be tripping over it, and then would yell that they had tripped on nothing - there was no privacy for nothing around here - or they were saying that nothing was wrong. Even when it was quiet someone would say, “did you hear that?” And, “what was that?” And, “it must’ve been nothing.” They would poke it; and then say out loud that they had poked nothing, but never got into trouble for it!
As a result of this, nothing began to feel cross, and put-upon, and uncomfortable. It was also a bit lonely, and wondered if it wanted to be something. So it thought very hard, and was SOMETHING.
This was considered a good-quality bedtime story and Mouse laughed and laughed at the end.

There are some gems in YouTube comments
On this, the anniversary of the lunar landing, let us also celebrate the greatest post-mission achievement by a crewman.
I refer, of course, to the time Buzz Aldrin (age 72 at the time) cold-cocked a moon landing conspiracy theorist straight in his smug face after being accused of being a coward, liar, and thief.
Yes, someone was indeed dumb enough to tell a man so unafraid of death that he was willing to go into the void on a fragile explosive rocket, a coward.
Said dumbass was filming this confrontation as some sort of proof of moon fraud, but has instead captured this glorious moment of near-cosmic justice for us to loop for all time.
Aldrin was not charged with any crime. He should have been given another medal for public service.
Said dumbass tried to take Aldrin to court for assault and was thrown out on his metaphorical ass, being cited as the instigator of the incident after luring Aldrin into a meeting under false pretenses (telling the former astronaut he was being interviewed for a children's program).
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Just a reminder that as adorable as bats are, if you’re ever in a room with a bat and especially if you have one land on you, you need the rabies series. Bat bites can be undetectable and they are the leading cause of rabies deaths in North America. Rabies is 100% fatal once symptoms develop.
The Canadian Medical Association Journal just published a case report of the first locally acquired case of rabies in Ontario since the 1920s, and it sounds like the family didn’t realize that since he didn’t have an obvious bite, he still needed the vaccine. It’s an absolutely tragic story.
The rabies vaccine series is extremely effective as post-exposure prophylaxis. Admire bats from afar, and if you have an exposure get the vaccine!

The absolute contempt for these locks is palpable.
When they first started dating, my best friend's boyfriend was like, "I just kinda feel like you two are uncomfortably close sometimes. All of my friends agree that it's really weird, and I think we need to establish some boundaries."
And I sat him down and gave him this huge speech, like, "Listen, the ability to maintain intimate, long-lasting friendships is a sign that your partner is well-adjusted! It's a little worrying that you're feeling insecure about your partner having a healthy, normal friendship."
Only for her to walk in two seconds later and say, "This drink is disgusting, you have to try it," and, instead of offering me a sip, take a huge swig and spit it directly into my mouth from like three feet away.
There's just so much going on here but I want to focus on the fact that this apparently happens so often that you saw her take a swig and instinctively opened your mouth for her to spit in it.
Who are you, OP? What is your life?
