I would think it must. It's rolling and collecting organic material. How else would it be getting a food source? Well, it would depend on how quickly the digestive properties work and whether or not there was any kind of paralytic involved. But I do agree with you there, about it all being a part of the circle of life. Giant, gelatinous blobs need to eat too! We'll all return to the earth one way or another, in the end.

I don't really believe in ascribing value judgement to its smell. The scent of a bog is the result of all its beautiful features and necessary processes come together. If you deem that simply bad, then, well, you don't deserve to witness a bog's majesty.

I assume you're referring to one of the more unique variants of worm that seem indigenous to this town? There would be no need to have such animus toward any of the usual worms just going about their business, eating waste.

If anyone needs me I'll be chilling out on the sidewalk blasting "Lonely Rolling Star" from my phone speakers while I wait for the Katamari to roll by.

I admire the stickiness of this phenomenon. It seems to be getting bigger, collecting whatever lays in its path. If you were to be rolled up, you would likely get incorporated into its larger mass and, I'm sure, slowly digested. This is not unlike any number of carnivorous plants, but most especially the sundew. So you would be remembered not as a nuisance, but a nutrient.
