sooo... I don't know if this has been done yet but I've decided to make a sort of compliation of google drives for all the different remakes of BBC Ghosts. Just in case it might be helpful, because through my other posts, I've learned that quite a few people don't know there are other versions of Ghosts. This post will be updated frequently.

Disclaimer: I don't own any of these google drives, and I've mostly encountered them through Tumblr and Reddit posts so thank you so much to the people who made them!!

BBC Ghosts (UK Original)

If you live in America, you can watch the recent episodes for free on the CBS website. The whole series is up on Paramount+, and apparently the earlier seasons are on Netflix in some countries.

ARD Ghosts (Germany)

(English subtitles are included.) Found this link on a Tumblr post—sorry to report that I don't know who made it, and have forgotten which post I've sourced this from. I do know who did the translations—that would be @rovermcfly. The English-speaking community thanks you. If you can speak German, the episodes are available for free on the ARD website.

Ghosts France

(English subtitles are included.) I sourced this from the same Tumblr post as the German remake. Unfortunately, I don't know who made this drive or who translated. I'm pretty sure you can watch this on Disney+ also... but only for some regions.

┈୨୧┈ Give them reasons they CAN'T be together that aren't just manufactured drama. Not miscommunication. Not love triangles. Not arbitrary "I push people away" trauma with no real exploration. Give them REAL obstacles: they're on opposite sides of a conflict, timing is wrong, there are actual consequences to being together, they have incompatible life goals, there's a power imbalance they need to resolve first. The obstacles should be meaningful and require actual character growth to overcome, not just a conversation.

┈୨୧┈ Make the friendship foundation SO STRONG that readers ship them before the romance even starts. They should genuinely LIKE each other. They should have inside jokes. They should seek each other out just to hang out. They should trust each other. They should have fun together. When the romantic feelings start developing, it should feel like "oh no, I don't want to ruin this friendship" because the friendship is genuinely valuable. Readers should be able to believe they'd still choose to be in each other's lives even if romance never happened.

┈୨୧┈ Let the tension BUILD in layers over time. First they notice each other. Then they start seeking excuses to be near each other. Then they start getting jealous. Then they start having Moments. Then they start thinking about each other constantly. Then comes the almost-kisses. Then the accidental intimacy. Then the barely-hidden feelings. Each phase should have time to breathe before moving to the next level. Slow burn means SLOW - readers should be desperate for them to get together LONG before they actually do.

┈୨୧┈ Show how they change each other gradually. He starts smiling more because of her. She becomes braver because he believes in her. They adopt each other's habits and phrases. They start to see the world differently because of the other person's influence. Slow burn is about showing two people gradually becoming essential to each other's lives. They should be woven into each other's character development, not separate from it.

Can you believe a 20 year old show got another chance to see the light of day and got another whole TWO seasons?!? Although the reboot wasn’t perfect, we got so many new great characters that quickly became our favorites, like Confucius, Topher, Frida, and Harriet. Not to mention the awesome new side characters! The reboot brought new fans, a resurgence of fanart, fanfiction, edits, and more. Although I’m sad the show ended on a scary cliffhanger, I’m sure we all know how the show would have handled it if it did continue haha

THE LONG-AWAITED WEBSITE!!!!

It's not perfect- Strawpage's design tools are... not great- but I did my best to bring you all a Tumblr-free transcription of all my lessons. This is probably the most labor-intensive thing I've done for this page (next to the character polls). Four months of blood, sweat, and tears... and now, she LIVES!!!!

Some Notes:

I created it with the intent of Desktop use, so Mobile might have some issues. If it's not working on your phone, try desktop.

Out of the multiple browsers tested (Firefox, Google, Edge, Brave, Safari), Firefox had some issues sporadically.

I'm still going to post lessons on here, first. This page is priority to me, and the website is more of an archive.
