I find it incredible how saying it's the God of Death's fault is always a valid solution to fill a plot hole in a TCF/LCF fanfic.

If, as Helrem revealed in chapter 1424 of Turning, the fire that struck the village in the Airik mountains and killed the monsters contained traces consistent with the magic used by great mages, this means that, in addition to Melach not even managing to escape the village before dying, Luma, potentially still disoriented and in pain due to the soul transfer process that somehow went wrong, was still able to cast a fire spell strong enough to kill all the monsters surrounding him while maintaining control over his magic to the point of not causing any additional damage to the surroundings of the village with his flames before fleeing with baby Yuder? I think he truly deserves the title of greatest Archmage, because accomplishing such a feat is not simple or easy. Wow, how I really want Luma to be out there, because I really want to see him in action.

i really do believe that the answer to a lot of people's self hatred is not to try and reassure them that they are wonderful and okay and enough, but instead to remind them theyre a completely unremarkable regular ass person who is not the center of the universe or especially important so why would they expect themselves to be some superhuman savior. like there really is a kernel of out of control self importance at the heart of thinking youre an evil lazy piece of shit. because why would you expect you be anything but just like some guy. if you wouldnt expect the guy who works at the vape shop or your mailman or whatever to be able to do something then why would you expect yourself to? youre just some random ass person. its fine

“No one is coming to save you.” I disagree ! I believe many people made up of many small moments come to save pieces of you , even if just briefly. The mentor who believed in you . The friend who said they’re proud of you. The family member that makes you laugh . The random person who held the door for you out of nothing but kindness. The teacher who took extra time to help you understand. The person who smiled at you when you walked into a store. The little kid who looks up to you. The person who randomly complimented you. Being “saved” isn’t about being whisked away and all your hardships gone, it’s about the people and things that remind you life is not all hardships, it is kindness, love, gentleness, softness, care, thoughtfulness. My grandfather got the GI bill after the war and decided to become a chemist. He was a year into his degree when he spilled something on himself in the lab. The way he told it, he watched whatever it was start to dissolve the leather apron he was wearing, thought about what it might be doing to his lungs, and after calmly removing the apron, became an architect instead.
