𝚠𝚊𝚛𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜: 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚒𝚜 𝚖𝚢 𝚏𝚒𝚛𝚜𝚝 𝚊𝚌𝚝𝚞𝚊𝚕 𝚏𝚒𝚌, 𝚜𝚘 𝚞𝚖... 𝙳𝚘𝚗’𝚝 𝚋𝚎 𝚝𝚘𝚘 𝚖𝚎𝚊𝚗 𝚝𝚘 𝚖𝚎?
It’s been such a long day. [Y/N]’s been adventuring all day, slaying hilichurls and making jokes with their party. They just want to collapse into their bed and never wake back up, but they’re well aware that, well, they don’t have a bed of their own.
The next best place to nap, guaranteed? The top of the Knights of Mondstadt HQ, up by the waypoint. Knights tended to hoard snacks, pillows and blankets up there, so it wasn’t a huge stretch.
[Y/N]’s body shakes with the slight lag that their body felt after teleporting, fumbling to catch themself. Turns out, they didn’t need to.
Their arm was caught, and they were brought close to somebody’s chest, held tight. Looking up, they saw… “Kaeya?” They mutter, relaxing into his arm on their back.
Kaeya’s eye widens, but his eye creases into a smile. “Who else?”
Fortunately, they were saved a devastating fall on your face, and unfortunately… Kaeya was very, very pretty. Even in a seemingly sleep-addled state, he was stunning.
‘God, what I’d give to kiss him.’
Kaeya lets them back onto their feet, smiling. “Come up here to relax as well?”
[Y/N] nods, distracted by their previous thought. The pair sit down together wordlessly, the few adventures that they had gone through being enough to have them at least a little comfortable around each other.
“Come here to hide from Jean?” They try, voice a bit shaky.
Kaeya laughs, “Pretty much.” He turns to [Y/N] curiously. “How about you?”
They lay down on the cool rock of the building, and it was comfortable despite the solidity. Before they can say anything, their face glows a soft pink. ‘You don’t even have a house. That’s embarrassing.’
He lifts his eyebrow, knowing that [Y/N] was trying to pull the wool over his eyes. “Sureee…” he starts, but he can’t be stern with [Y/N]. Another smile lights up his virtually perfect face.
The two chat like starlings, eventually laying down. They both fall into a slumber gradually, resting in the shade.
[Y/N] wakes up. It’s no need for fanfare, just… waking up. But, as they try to absorb the now-evening light, something stops them.
That something is a pair of lean arms wrapped around their far-smaller frame. ‘… Kaeya?’ The fur from Kaeya’s cape thing told [Y/N] that they weren’t wrong.
[Y/N] tries to turn around without waking him up, but finds that they can barely squirm. He makes a sleepy rumble noise in the back of his throat, hugging tighter.
‘I mean, I guess I can stay longer…’ [Y/N]’s brain mutters, pulling them back to a gentle sleep.
