I really like how Willow (2022) refuses to explain anything other than that there is a chosen one and her name is Elora Danan. There is expansive worldbuilding and the characters will tell you bits and pieces of it but only when it’s relevant to what’s currently happening. But where is Kashmir in relation to Tir Asleen? Why do humans call nelwyn slurs? Why are all the sorcerers dead? Who built the immemorial city? Are we just glossing over the fact that there is a cannibal tribe in the woods made up of escaped slaves and their descendants? Idk audience member why don’t you fucking figure it out.

yeah all my posts actually have hundreds of notes you just can't see them. people are laughing and calling me so funny and pretty and smart in the tags but you just cant see it. but it's happening i promise
one thing that's getting (predictably) lost in the kerfuffle of this downgrade is that it's now virtually impossible to find image descriptions. before, i would be able to look in the notes and find an image description in the comments after a few seconds of scrolling.
now, unless the image describer reblogged the image directly from OP, i'm pretty much shit out of luck. with how many reblogs are added to a post, it'll be virtually impossible to look through each comment and see if there's an image description in there. and if the post is comprised of multiple images throughout reblogs, image descriptions will be even harder to find.
this also discourages people from reblogging image descriptions, as the notes are attributed to the describer rather than the OP. not only that, but the OP is even LESS likely to even see the image description in the first place.
i guess i shouldn't be surprised over the website that doesn't even alt text their @staff posts.
