Since I have this persistent pain on my right rotator cuff I'll be laying off bench press for a while (maybe 3 weeks max). Will still do 5x5 but will do floor press instead of bench. . If you are experiencing lower back pain with the traditional bench press, this helps too. It's pretty similar to when you put your feet on the bench, only much more stable.
