Treated myself to some new cross country ski poles today. Looking forward to hitting the trails on Sunday. Not only is cross country skiing a great way to enjoy some quiet nature time but it's an awesome workout as well. Spent a week sulking around about my foot and not being able to do the Kelowna Race or really anything related for a few months. But it's time to get back to business and start training even harder for next year. Nothing feels better than getting out on the trails for a few days in a row. Sunday and Monday was spent training cardio among other things while rocking the X-Country Skis and Snowshoes. But today a slow paced hike is just what I needed. I can't stress enough the mental and physical health benefits of getting some sun, fresh air and exercise. And I'm way more proud of days like this than the ones spent on the couch.
