Today a journalist is serving a jail sentence because she slapped a policeman once during a protest.

For me one of the hardest parts of fighting this regime is to simply not get consumed by rage. Not to get consumed by rage when politicians make snarky remarks, how they are cynical and sarcastic - how a man with more than 15k monthly salary tells us that it is indeed possible to survive on just 1k.

On the internet, reading comments of regular people mocking our attempts at a democracy, doubting our intentions, our actions and our numbers. Laughing at the "nativity" of the young, saying they are controlled by some imagined entity as if these young people don't have their friends and family in jails.

It is this constant disrespect, not being taken seriously, being laughed at because thats all they have left against us. A laugh. All the words are useless and they know and all they can do is laugh in our face just to try and hide the panic of knowing that they will not last in this country. We will regain our independence, I believe in that, but it takes everything in me not to become bitter on the way.
