In my absence, Eman's village's situation has been getting worse, far far worse. As the fabric of Sudan's medical and other social infrastructures have been destroyed by war and genocide, displaced people are seeing a high risk of disease outbreaks amongst them. This is what Eman's village is currently going through, and her family has been one of many affected by dengue fever.

Eman is scared, alone, and feels like her family's situation is invisible. Please show her that she isn't alone, and that her and her family and her village aren't invisible. Please if you can spare anything, help Eman out.

I am begging the UK trans community and its allies to attend the Mass Lobby at Parliament on June 25th, 11am-4pm, organised by Trans Solidarity Alliance.

The new EHRC Code of Practice pushes trans people out of toilets, hospital wards, and community spaces. It normalises gender policing based on appearance and stereotypes. It becomes statutory guidance in the UK by the end of June.

Trans people are now legally their assigned gender at birth and must join gendered spaces accordingly, but if they are perceived as their lived gender, they can also be ejected from those spaces. The guidance says: either break the law, or don’t pass too well.

A mass lobby is where you invite your MP to discuss your concerns with you in-person. Ask your MP to:

Demand full parliamentary scrutiny, debate, and use their free vote on the EHRC Code of Practice.

Support any motions rejecting the EHRC guidance. As of June 4th, Labour MP Nadia Whittome has submitted a prayer motion - Early Day Motion 240.

Write to Bridget Phillipson, the Minister for Women and Equalities about our concerns

Your MP does not have to be an ally, they do not have to respond to your email for you to show up and greencard them (details below the cut.) What matters is that as many people as possible show up.

Prices in Gaza have started to rise unusually, and goods have almost disappeared from the markets. Types of vegetables are scarce and expensive, and meats have vanished from the markets too. I mean, what's happening is the beginning of a new famine; food is expensive and scarce in the markets!

Thomaserena has shared the June goals for the families and community kitchen he is helping.

The chuffed for the community kitchen needs to reach $25k. It is currently at $20k. They are working to provide hundreds of people with warm food and clean water, but they are struggling to stay stocked on supplies due to the costs and the number of people they serve.

The gofundme is to support 4 different families that need help with monthly funds. The goal for this month was $65k, which has already been met thanks to a very generous person donating over $4,000.

I will update the post if the goal is changed, but I would imagine for now it would be better to put focus on the community kitchen's fundraiser until Thomaserena is able to update us on the families. If you can afford to donate to both, I am sure extra support on gfm would be appreciated, but if you can only afford to donate to one, please chose the kitchen as it is still far from it's goal.

That’s how we lose and we all get killed. YOU need to be social if you consider yourself a revolutionary and not merely a sympathizer. How are you going to organize the masses without leaving your house and encouraging others to do the same, because it’s discomforting, potentially risky and won’t be easy? Revolution is risk. If you wanted to avoid risky social interactions, you wouldn’t go down the path of being a black sheep by calling yourself a communist revolutionary.

There’s risk in socializing, there’s also risk in organizing and you can’t organize if you can’t socialize! Socializing with your coworkers and neighbors, building connections past alienation, and discussing shared conditions and grievances as workers and tenants is the practice and your homework for organizing a union, a vanguard party or a people’s army.

I’ve had to overcome social anxiety in order to achieve goals greater than myself. This is a skill, not an inborn talent. Challenge yourself because ultimately what we need is to build the conditions to meet the moment, those final series of crises, and that includes at a very basic level that doesn’t exist in places like the United States is community.

You as a communist should be someone who (if able) can be relied upon by your peers. You should be concerned and investigative. You should genuinely care about the lives and the conditions of those around you, because people can smell a salesman.

As a communist you’re not trying to sell somebody on an advertisement for your lifestyle brand, you’re trying to organize people to realize their own capacity for creating social change and leadership. You need to at least attempt to be charming, charismatic, educated, humble and selfless.

Combat your own anti-social tendencies. The ruling class wants you isolated, alone and alienated not only from labor but from humanity itself.

We are trying to win a new future for global humanity in the face of our ongoing climate change induced mass extinction event and the resurgence in fascist and far right politics globally. Take it seriously. Engage with what the masses around you are experiencing, immerse yourself amongst their ranks.

You already are a proletarian and a tenant likely, you’re around workers and tenants all the time, but you haven’t broken the capitalist programming that has told you to resent other people for wasting your valuable time and peace which is money lost, to fear social risk and failure so much you avoid socializing altogether, and prevents you from gathering in too large a mass of your class comrades in the explicit interest of the bourgeoisie’s counterinsurgency efforts.

I wanna take a moment to talk about the Trans Journalists Association.

The Trans Journalists Association, founded in 2020 from a Facebook group of trans and non-binary journalists, is a non-profit organization focused on accurate, nuanced media coverage of trans people and issues, while also aiding journalists with guides and tools to be more trans inclusive/friendly in their writing and/or in the workplace.

One of the resources available is their Trans News Initiative. This free, visual, data tool allows anyone to find, search, and filter through news articles (from January 2020 to present day) about transgender people in the U.S. Some of the categories to filter through include "trans people in sports", "health care and bodily autonomy", and "anti-trans violence and hate", with their most populated category being "pop culture and creativity". Within each category, articles are again grouped into events/topics; the most popular topic in "pop culture and creativity" is "Dave Chappelle's controversy". Once an event/topic is selected, users can find specific articles relating to the event/topic and can even link back to specific articles. You can even view how the articles are politically aligned.

I was a teacher who loved my work and cherished seeing the light of knowledge in the eyes of children. My husband worked as a driver, and together we dreamed of a stable future for our small family.

A powerful feeling I have 💔

That every Arab should experience living in a tent. I'm not asking for much — just live in a tent for one week during winter, especially during storms 💨🥶

And another week during the summer, in times of extreme heat 🥵🔥🔥

Finally, gather a few belongings and try being displaced, moving from one place to another.

And in the end, you will never feel the oppression we feel 💔😡

But the real pain is that the world often does not see the thousands of children in Gaza unless their suffering becomes a headline, a viral photo, or a trending story. 🌍📺

Too often, help seems tied to views rather than to need. A moment of attention, a moment of sympathy, a moment of support... and then people move on, while the suffering remains. ⏳💔

In Gaza, there are thousands of children the cameras never capture, and thousands of families enduring hardship in silence. Some have no image that goes viral, no story that becomes a trend, and no voice that reaches the world. 🥀

I am one of those mothers. 🤱❤️ Every day, I try to provide the most basic necessities for my children in circumstances that grow harder and harder, yet our story reaches almost no one because we are neither breaking news nor a trending hashtag.

Every child deserves to be seen. Every family deserves to be noticed before their suffering becomes a story people briefly talk about and then forget. 🕊️

My pregnant wife was shot in the chest as she prepared to receive our first child.

I never imagined that I would write these words or live this nightmare.

My wife is in her fifth month of pregnancy, and she was trying to live simple moments of joy in the midst of the war. I went out that day to see some of the children's clothes and prepare the needs of our first baby that we are waiting for impatiently.

But instead of returning home carrying clothes for our child, she returned to the hospital soaked in her blood after being shot in the chest.

In moments our dreams and joy turned into fear and terror. We ran to the hospital where she underwent emergency surgery to check on her life and the life of our unborn child. Due to difficult conditions and lack of medical capabilities, doctors have not been able to remove the bullet, and it is still stable inside its chest until now.

If you were able to help or share our story with others, you would have given our family hope at a time when hope has become scarce
