I’m having a lot of thoughts about ASOIAF and this motherfucking iPhone ain’t cutting no more this is shaping up to be a laptop activity

Rereading The Hedge Knight and absolutely loving Dunk’s initial assessment of little lady Ashford. He’s like yeah I’m at this girl‘s birthday party,, who by the way isn’t even really impressive to him. Dunk is straight up like why all this pageantry she ain’t even that cute?? Guy doesn’t even bother to learn her name. Yeah yeah there’s a birthday party going on but whatever he’s at the farmer’s market looking for deals. Man has a checklist and errands to run and he is not letting some tween‘s birthday party ruin his Google calendar flow. 

Realizing HOTD just really isn’t my kind of thing folks. I love a song of ice and fire,, I love the source material. I think the work deserves a book-accurate 300 episode run from start to finish. (The Doom included) If I want fanfic of one of my favorite things i’ll make my way here or to AO3.

I love that (so far as is canon) Valarr Targaryen means absolutely nothing. Important guy’s son for sure. Heir to the Iron Throne and all, but then it just doesn’t happen. It’s like releasing an animal into the wild and the moment you have it out of hand something comes along and gobbles it up. Rip
