I know that these kind of posts motivate some women and that's great. I used to post motivation like this on my other account @sugarfree_foodie with genuine intensions to motivate others as well as myself. Instead, however, I brain washed myself into believing that my body wasn't good enough, that I had to exercise relentlessly and cut out certain foods in order to fit into the mould that I thought was beautiful. Exercise is not something to be used to beat your body into an ideal that society defines as beautiful. Your body is already beautiful in its intricacies, how it moves, heals and keeps you alive. So I'm going to use a cliché, YOU are beautiful in your own way because you are unique. Try, each day of your recovery, to see yourself in different ways. Don't pick at the flaws, but focus on your positive attributes. Then write them down and put them up where you can see them every day. I'd like to add a 4th type of person, the enabler. When you make the choice to recover it may mean having to disassociate from certain people, places or activities that no longer serve your new goals, but rather fuel or enable old behaviour. I, personally, had to quit the gym and my trainer and unfollow about 2000 'fitspiration' accounts on Instagram.
