This post was created after reading this. It's not an attack to OP obviously, but I think we need to changeâmaybe revolutionize how we see and talk about femmeness.
We definitely need to move past the "femme as in lover and protector of butches". This is not to say that we shouldn't help or be in community with butchesâwe should. But it's about time we center ourselves in our identity, and curate femmeness around what it means to usânot just our usefulness and accessibility to butches, studs and MoC.
We are not secondary, we are not just here for butches. We are here because we have shared history, but that doesn't mean that our femmeness revolves around them. It's notâand if a lot of you read femme history, it was never supposed to be.

Especially as BIPOC femmes, our BIPOC "virtues" are often determined by how useful we are in the community. It's tiring. It's overusedâfrankly, it's unsustainable on the self. When you curate your identity around external parties, it loses its significance.
So what should we do?
For the femmes, stopâand I mean this, STOP saying that you're performing femmeness for butches. Get a hold of yourself. You are a whole person, and the only person you should be catering is yourself.
Read femme history and femmephobia. Notice how I specifically said femme history? There are femmes before us who have been stressing how we are not just here to cater to butches. There are accounts and history on femmephobia that is still not talked about enough in the community.
This one is directed specifically but not limited to white/white passing butches and femmes, understand that for BIPOC femmes, claiming femininity can be just as non-conforming as claiming masculinity, due to our history with colonization. The reason I specifically called in white butchfemmes, is because I have seen you spewing rethoric like "we have superpower in being conforming!" We don't. For some of us, femmeness is closely linked to our culture and spirituality. Butches is not even in the equation when it comes to our femmeness.
I need you guys to understand that privilege through assimilation is NOT a privilege. Call it what it is: erasure.
Next, be vocal. Be vocal about your experience as femmes, your gender expression, and whatever ties to your femmeness. You have as much space in the community and deserve to speak up. No one else in the community is excited to talk about our experience, so we have to do it. If you have to annoy people in the community, if the butches around you are uncomfortable (boy, do I know the butches around me are uncomfortable with this conversation lol), do it anyway.
Lastly, for the baby femmes, find other femmes, especially BIPOC femmes, trans femmes, bisexual femmes, AroAcespec femmes, GNC femmes, he/him femmes, mspec femmes, MEN femmes, and femmes who are independent in their identity. Learn from them. Center yourself.
Important to read before you go: this is NOT to say that we should spew butchphobic rethorics. So I will not have you buffoons in my asks shitting on butches, studs, MoC, butch4butch and moc4moc. Just because I center myself and femmeness, doesn't mean I'm gonna let you shit on the people I share a community with. REMEMBER THAT this post is ABOUT and CENTER FEMMES.
Look, I fundamentally do not care about how exactly butch and femme as labels were used "back in the day" and I fundamentally do not give a fuck whatever the newest prescriptivist take that this fresh hell of a webscape has birthed is

Motherfucker, I don't care. Butch originally just meant "masculine" and was used for straight dudes. Any queer usage by men or people of any other genders came later. I don't really care when exactly it started being used in a queer sense and I don't care where you draw your arbitrary lines in the sand as to who is allowed to be butch.
Prescriptivism is a blight upon this world rivaled only by all the other fucking brainrot that exclusionists and radfems come up with on a daily basis.
Men use "butch" as a label. They identity with it.
Trans men, gay men, queer men, bi men, demi-men, intersex men, nonbinary men.
Women use "butch" as a label. They identify with it.
Trans women, lesbian women, queer women, bi women, demi-women, intersex women, nonbinary women.
Nonbinary people use "butch" as a label. They identify with it.
Butch is a noun. It can be a whole identity, butch is love and butch is life and butch is our community.
And butch is solidarity as well.
Who do you think you are to tell others they are wrong for it?
Some of you will say "be gay do crimes" and then turn around and become the volunteer hall monitor "who gets to use this word, queer police" đ¤đ¤đ¤ you look like this, you're silly, find something better to do like actually protecting our community from fascist agitators who LOVE the shit you're dedicated to right now cause when it all comes down to it: it is divide and conquer all the same.

I figured out the whole "hallway to the museum leads directly into the kitchen" problem, but I'm faced with another problem.
the hall leads directly outside. which would involve adding a FIFTH entrance to the house!! (this is not including the cellar entrance because fuck me)
alright, as long as I ignore the museum hallway (for now), I've got half of a decent ground floor plan. I've got the gift shop, kitchen, staircase entry way (which is connected to the back porch), and Stan's office. This gives me an extra hallway that I may turn into the plaid hallway.
holy SHIT I actually finished this. took me all weekend and I didn't write as a result, but I DID it! I had to flip a few things, ignored a couple windows, got rid of some stairs, and added a couple rooms and an entire story, but I DID it! my goal was to be as canon compliant as possible, which was difficult considering how many times it straight up contradicted itself. I'm like 98% positive that I included every single room seen in the show! If I missed any, please tell me so I can rip all my hair out and figure out how to include it :3
here we have the ground floor, which was the absolute worst part. shuffling all the rooms around in a way that made SENSE was just hellish.
(I know the quality isn't the greatest, but if anyone wants closer pictures or has any questions, I'll be more than happy to answer!)
the second floor! honestly I struggled to think of what all to put up here aside from the bedroom and the bathroom. I ended up deciding on a small spare bedroom and a little library/reading nook.
Finally, the attic. Getting everything lined up with the museum was the tricky part, but I got it sorted out! you can see how it connects to the second floor here.
This fucking monster of a house is, ironically enough, 3,666 square feet. Lol. Lmao even. Surely that's not a bad omen.
Stanford, baby, why in the FUCK did you commission such a massive house? Did the grant committee actually look at the invoices you sent to them? Did you hire a housekeeper to upkeep the house? Was the maze really necessary?
I can only imagine how many times Stan got lost in this house. Or Soos. Or Wendy. Or the twins. I think they should all get to kick Ford in the shins for designing this, as a treat!
HAHA ok so forgive me if this room is actually accounted for somewhere in this floor plan, upon looking at the episode again, they never actually say its in a basement, so it COULD be underneath another staircase in the house. it just has strong basement vibes. OR it could just be a made up room for the story, since it isnt canon! but in bottomless pit theres the room the pinball machine is housed
and of course theres the portal room,
and we also know theres fords private study between the two.
however, IN that study, there is also... a spiral staircase... leading to both an upper and lower floor, and we never see that staircase in either the portal or pinball machine rooms.
so i'd say theres at LEAST four but maybe five basement floors.

genuine question â how is donating money going to help Palestinians if no food is going in? What is the money for?
Medicine, water, supplies, food, fuel (much of it black market being upsold at egregious prices) â these all cost money and pretty much all Palestinians in Gaza have no source of income now. Itâs drops in the bucket compared to ending the siege and occupation but itâs one way to do at least something small to help. Others are in need of money to evacuate when the border opens again (which hopefully is asapâŚ), tuition and supplies for school to continue studies despite it all. Another fund is focused on trying to rebuild farmlands in Gaza to get food again that way.
I canât tell anyone what to do with their money but I donât think this mindset of âwell nothings going in so we canât helpâ is helpful for people on the ground who are the ones saying that donations can and do help them survive.
