I think some of you would do well to learn how to engage with characters in a way that ISN'T sanding off every identifiable canon trait to turn them into blank slates for you to project whatever maximizes their relatability/fuckability for you personally. Or at the very least recognize that when you refer to that character what you're really referring to is your wish fulfillment OC who just so happens to have the same name and face

death the kid is such a… weird character. i cant think of another character like him because he’s so weird. like, he’s the son of the grim reaper with horrible ocd and perfectionism issues and also he dresses like a preppy goth in full tuxedo but he also rides a skateboard named beelzebub and does cool tricks on it whenever presented the opportunity also he has guns. none of those character traits sound like they belong to the same person. hes somehow both the coolest and lamest character in the show.

The story behind how March of the Gladiators actually became associated with clowns is actually kind of amazing. So when circuses were becoming a thing the performers needed a way to keep in contact and keep organized. So the bands would have certain songs that they would perform that meant different things that the cast knew but the audience didn't. IIRC March of The Gladiators was a signal that there was an issue that needed to be resolved before the next act could go on and for the Clowns to come out and do some improvisational bits in order to keep the audience entertained.
