Hey Hi Hello!

I'm Hellion Cat (or just Hellion or Cat, or even HC if you're freaky), I make art and talk about animals and my favorite shows and movies! I post everything in here because I can't be bothered to make a side blog.

My main artistic endeavor that I post here is Supernatural fanart, but I have many obsessions (they can't stop me).

“Cas? Who you talking to?” He turned sharply. Dean stood behind him, hands in his pockets, eyebrows raised. The casual posture didn’t match the sharpness in his eyes. Cas blinked. The corridor was gone. The bunker’s dungeon walls rise around him instead—cold stone, iron rings, the faint smell of dust and old magic. He doesn’t remember walking here. He doesn’t remember anything between chasing his shadow and… this. “What are you doing in here?” Dean asks, voice low, cautious. Cas opens his mouth. The truth right there—I saw myself—but the words won’t come. They dissolve before they reach his tongue, leaving only a hollow ache in his chest. “I don’t know,” he says finally. It sounded small. Wrong. Dean studies him. Not with concern—Cas knows Dean’s concern, knows the warmth of it even when Dean tries to hide it. This was different. This was cold. Clinical. How did you get into art? Was it something that you've been interested in since you can remember, or was there a specific thing or moment that inspired you to start making art?

It's kinda always been there. But more specifically, when I was about 6 I became friends with a kid who lived down the street and we spent a lot of time playing with those flash animal creation dress-up games. The Lion King has always been my favorite movie so a lot of the ones we did were lions. We'd then draw those characters together. My friend was a few years older than me so she was better at drawing than I was so that encouraged me to improve and practice. I became "the art kid" because of my propensity to draw animals all the time, even after we moved and I lost contact with my friend. Art became my biggest source of comfort as I struggled with school and socializing. Art has been the one thing I felt I could cling on to, and as I improved, I started getting recognition for my art and that made me feel good about myself.

So yeah, I find comfort in drawing and it's sort of just been a thing I've done forever. Thanks for asking!

Hello again, tumblr. It's been a while. I haven't been treating you how I used to. I found it easy to connect to friends elsewhere. But I wouldn't have those friends without you. I'll never leave you, tumblr, I'll always come back.

I've missed saying silly things here. It's been sad to just post art like I'm all business. I'm not a serious person, I'm fun... I think. I just need to remember that you're here too, and I can always shout into the void and hear someone calling back, even if it's just a passing stranger, it still makes me smile.
