why does everyone say it’s ‘bad parenting’ to give one of your sons a magical weapon tied to worthiness that your other son can’t lift, but no one questions if the second son just has unworthy vibes?

unfortunately as much as I love mind control as a trope the reactions are often all too understanding and horrified at one’s prior ignorance. what about the good old ‘what did you do to get yourself mind controlled’ and ‘likely story’ and ‘seems like you didn’t try too hard to fend it off though, huh?’
