CURRENTLY WATCHING: not much. Latest season of The Legend of Vox Machina. I am on a very slow and random rewatch of Red Dwarf too.

CURRENTLY READING: you mean besides the weekly 100k of fanfic I inhale? Last Human by Doug Naylor. I’ve just finished @xev3n’s incarnation.exe which was beautifully soft and intimate. I’m following some WIPs, @sicksicksixx @duckyboos-blog and @valleydean are responsible for my weekly destiel doses.

CURRENT OBSESSION: bangs, baby! There are so many! How do people NOT click on all those delicious sign ups??? Horse riding too, never have I imagined myself as a person riding through a forest at sunset, but hey, it happened, I’m a horse girl now.

CURRENTLY WORKING ON: art for two Heated Rivalry bangs, co-arting with wonderful people for the over-40 bang, preparing my submissions for @destielaureversebb, trying to fit in some RD Rimster prompts. As for writing, I got a relatively longer fic waiting for claims, but that’s a secret for now.

CURRENTLY WEARING: I’m so glad you didn’t ask this last week when we had 41C. I’m in spouse’s t-shirt and my gray sweatpants. 🤭I’m a living, arting cliche.

LAST INTERNET SEARCH: some curry recipe I half-arsed. I almost always have one “what is a” tab open, because I learn beautiful new things every day from my reads, like what a Kraft dinner is or what kinda booze people drank in 1921.

FAVORITE FLOWER: daffodils! But sunflowers are a close second, yes, I am a yellow flower enjoyer.

LAST SONG: Currently listening to the Lofi Girl synthwave livestream. It makes for excellent productivity music.

CURRENTLY WATCHING: Chopped, BBQ Brawl, SPN of course, a couple of docuseries on Disc+ about the dark side of showbiz.

CURRENTLY READING: Fic mostly. Been working my way through my MFL; just finished Salt and Rosemary by tiamatv, which I highly recommend if you're into dark fluff and monsterfucking. Books-wise, I'm between novels atm but have been perusing the cookbook Afro-Vegan by Bryant Terry, and man, I want to try EVERY recipe.

CURRENT OBSESSION: Taco Bell nacho fries. It's current and ongoing.

CURRENTLY WORKING ON: My first trans-Dean fic! But that's all I can say because it'll likely eventually be submitted for a bang.

CURRENTLY WEARING: My summer uniform of shorts and a tank top. It'll stay this way until October at least. But it IS still all black, because a goth's gonna goth.

LAST INTERNET SEARCH: Ergonomic computer mice. I have the delightful issue of wrist pain with traditional mouses, and thumb pain with vertical mouses, so I'm trying to find something that'll ease both - and maybe not cost freaking hundreds of dollars along the way. (If you have any recs, please, help a cryptid out. Everything's so goddamn expensive.)

FAVORITE FLOWER: I adore black or extremely dark flowers in general, but hellebore (of any color) is definitely a favorite.

LAST SONG: I'm trying to remember. It was in the car and I had my Sleep Token cd in, so it was definitely something off of Even in Arcadia.

CURRENTLY WATCHING: Trying to get caught up on season 2 of The Pitt but I can't seem to find the time to sit down and watch it.

CURRENTLY READING: Like everyone else, I am OBSESSED with Come Alive in the Heat - a WIP by @sicksicksixx that has brought trailer park tuesdays to all of our lives. Also working my way through Heard From Your Mother (She Don't Recognize You) by @rupertgayes. 10/10 highly recommend, and I'm not even done it.

CURRENT OBSESSION: Honestly? My chest. I had top surgery 6 weeks ago and I cannot get over how it looks. Wish I could have done this years ago.

CURRENTLY WORKING ON: The sequel to the fic where Dean gets cursed and starts menstruating. Dare I dabble in non-omegaverse mpreg? Only time will tell...

CURRENTLY WEARING: Just boxers, it's too hot for much else because I only have a shitty window AC

LAST INTERNET SEARCH: "walkin tattoos [redacted] ontario" because I'm hoping @krexhatespushups-blog and I will be able to get something done after the convention in Toronto.

FAVORITE FLOWER: Daisies and Black-eyed Susans. The way to my heart is not through expensive bouquets but through picking flowers you can find at the side of the road.

LAST SONG: Piece Of Me by Britney Spears. Maybe it doesn’t make me seem all that sophisticated but I love Britney Spears - partly because of her music and partly as a victim of 90s/00s stardom. She was and is continually robbed of identity and agency and it’s completely grotesque and perverted. It’s a tragically interesting phenomenon. I have a lot of feelings about Britney Spears, both as an individual and a cultural cautionary tale.

CURRENTLY WATCHING: I’ve been watching a True Crime docu series called Deadliest Mums and Dads. And I started another rewatch of SPN and recently watched the Dead In The Water episode.

CURRENTLY READING: I just started The Girls by Emma Cline. I’ve fallen off fanfic and there’s so much!!! on my mfl that I don’t even know where to start. It’s a pretty luxurious problem lol.

CURRENT OBSESSION: hmm, maybe tufting or bead embroidery? Ive picked up a bunch of crafts recently.

CURRENTLY WORKING ON: I have progress deadlines coming up for the DCBDSMbang and Deancas Horrorfest — I’m writing two fics for the latter.

CURRENTLY WEARING: blue/white striped pajama pants and a T-shirt that says “I was supposed to marry a backstreet boy”

LAST INTERNET SEARCH: I looked up how to get my health insurance to pay part of my dentist bill lol. I recently went to the dentist for the first time in like 5-6 (maybe even 7??) years…. No cavities! ೕ(•̀ᴗ•́)

CURRENTLY WATCHING: SPN for the umpteenth time, ER 1994, various YouTubers

CURRENTLY READING: Copious amounts of fanfic across various fandoms; a lot of journal articles; Ring Shout, or Hunting Ku Kluxes in the End Times by P. Djeli Clark; The Unworthy by Agustina Bazterrica; Slewfoot: A Tale of Bewitchery by Brom; Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine, 22nd Ed. I like to have several things going at once so I can jump around.

CURRENT OBSESSION: Obsession! I saw it three times in as many days when trying to make the most of my rental period, and am now working my way through any behind the scenes footage I can get my hands on, as well as director Curry Barker’s short horror films on his YouTube channel, “that’s a bad idea.” It has a really tight script and incredible acting, I genuinely felt so unsettled and disgusted the first time watching it, and I love the sound design and soundtrack.

I think it’s odd I’m so obsessed with this as a horror movie bc compared to a lot of my other all time faves (e.g., Black Swan, The VVitch, Midsommar, Hereditary, Starry Eyes, etc), here there isn’t even a veneer of the “good for her” final girl trope that people mistakenly put the former in.

CURRENTLY WORKING ON: A lot of bang stuff as a mod, writer, and artist, and am slowly chipping away at my Marvel Trumps Hate and Wincest Book Club Against ICE auction fulfillments.

This month I have: banners due for DeanCas BDSM Bang and Hollanov Reverse; art submissions due for SPN AU Reverse; draft % deadlines due for DeanCas HorrorFest and DCBB; claims for Hoziernatural and Benny Bang; prepping as a mod for DCBB and ProShip Bang stuff.

Again, I like to have several things going at once so I can jump around. Can you tell I have ADHD yet?
