I just got back from a queer poetry meetup that I haven't been to in a long time. Last time I went I was using they/them, very early in medical transition, and androgyny-moding. This time I wasn't doing any of those things, and the way I was treated was so much worse that I was genuinely surprised.

um actually there's nothing wrong with letting cats be outdoor pets. your cat is depressed locked inside forever. it's animal abuse. let it outside. more cats should be let outside more often. especially overnight.

I couldn't agree more. Cats are animals. Animals belong outside. They need the enrichment. If you install a cat flap, they can come and go as they please and you won't need to clean the litter anymore since they'll just go outside! Everyone wins! Don't listen to the haters talking about "predators" and "roads". Predators aren't everywhere and everyone knows cats are smart enough and fast enough to be safe on the roads. Especially the busy roads. Let them out on the busy roads. C'mon. It'll be fine.
