This easy slow cooker pulled pork recipe yields tender, flavorful meat perfect for sandwiches, tacos, or served alongside your favorite sides. It's a fuss-free way to enjoy delicious pulled pork with minimal effort.
Ingredients: 4 lbs pork shoulder, trimmed of excess fat. 1 large onion, sliced. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 1 cup chicken broth. 1 cup barbecue sauce. 2 tablespoons brown sugar. 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar. 1 tablespoon smoked paprika. 1 teaspoon cumin. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Season the pork shoulder generously with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and cumin. Place the sliced onions and minced garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker. Pour chicken broth and apple cider vinegar over the onions and garlic. Place the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the onions and garlic. In a bowl, mix together barbecue sauce and brown sugar. Pour over the pork shoulder. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours, until the pork is very tender. Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir to coat it in the sauce. Let it cook for an additional 30 minutes on low to soak up the flavors. Serve the pulled pork on buns or with your favorite sides.
