this method is effective. the pets invariably responded with horror which gave way to glorious desperation which eventually gave way to perfect compliance. to its humanity both owner and pet bid adieu, and from the closure and clarity, a new future could freely be pursued. this allows for an easier adjustment period, similar to how an animal can acclimate better to its environment under certain conditions, but generally more long term disobedience in the pets.

it is a wholly different thrill to keep a pet that has no idea what exactly happened to it or why. there is no transition period, no explanation given that their human brain can accept. there is only the training. all of a sudden, it is eating from a bowl on the ground and being hurt if it speaks human words or stands. it must learn what the commands mean based on the owner's discipline: that hurt and isolation happen if it does bad and treats and attention happen if it does well.

this method tends to result in deeper psychological wounds which allows for deeper, instinctive obedience. in a way though, this treatment is more fitting. its previous humanity is not even worth acknowledging. all it understands is what its new life is.
