the habitat loss, food source loss, extreme weather, etc caused by climate change are even more deadly to birds than any power plant.
wind turbines unfortunately do kill birds. but not at the numbers worth tearing down all the wind turbines. environmental assessments are always necessary when putting up infrastructure projects like this to mitigate potential harm but climate change itself is worse for all species. and that climate change is almost entirely caused by the extraction and burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil, natural gas.)
and wind power is one of many ways we get ourselves off of the dirty ass environmental disaster that is extracting and burning fossil fuels for electricity.

My mom likes to tell me about how when I was a little kid riding public transport with her I'd always smile and giggle and chat with weird old ladies who smelled like cat pee and homeless folks and strangers dressed in bizarre outfits but any time a tidy and respectable businessman in a suit and tie waved at me I'd immediately clam up, and she takes a great deal of pride in my supposed inherentability to clock personalities but the truth is I do vaguely remember those bus rides, and it was never about the clothes or the hair or the smell, but more because everyone "strange" asked interesting questions and listened to what I had to say and seemed to think about what I said while the neat and tidy and rigid folks only ever acted like they were going through the motions, which was boring as hell and also pretty annoying

I am not part of the project hail mary fandom and know nothing about it, yet it's all over my feed. Here's what I've gathered so far:
mc is a sassy middle aged science teacher who would both kill/die(?) for his friends, but would also trade them for a snickers purely for the love of the game. would rather shave his head than kiss someone
mc looks like he did crack in college and would probably throw hands with his 86 y/o professor for forcing certain beliefs in the classroom. he would lose and whine about it.
there's a silly little rock thing that is really good friends with the mc and has very little understanding of exactly how humans work. would panic if it saw synchronized swimming
they're in space I think. maybe.

there's a girl and I think she would sell mc for loose pocket change and an oreo

ive started working on a new game and its probably the best looking thing ive EVER Made i lvoe it so much
still havent figured out the gameplay lol im just having fun making cool phyiscs sims haha
little progress update :) im too lazy to figure out how to make gifs but trust me the animations are niiiiice ! since the player is drawn via code i can tweak all the animations via code so that they match up and stuff!

one time i was talking to some guy and he was like âhaha how do yall get alligators in your backyard? do you not have fences?â and i had to inform him that gators can absolutely climb fences

this is why kennedy space center had to install fancy outward-curving fences around the launchpad, bc gators climbing over regular fences and getting on the launchpad could be very dangerous

turns out they climb trees too. Like regularly. they tend to do it a lot less once they reach certain sizes, but like several crocodilian species turn out to have a whole development period where they spend a lot of time in trees, and we just never knew that until like 2014 because, understandably, nobody who was studying them thought âi wonder if I should look for a bunch of crocodiles up in the treesâ
