YOU CAN GET HEARING AIDS TO HELP WITH YOUR MISOPHONIA
I have misophonia and it SUCKS but I got hearing aids from the audiologist who diagnosed me and they HELP. like A LOT. they don't have the microphones turned on, so they don't amplify sounds. they play red noise (you can choose from a bunch of different sounds and adjust them there with the technology that the audiologist has) and I can change the volume and there's an app and it's great. They don't drown out all my sounds. If they did, I would just be deaf. which I definitely am not. instead they add another layer of sound that's good. it's a good sound and it makes me happy. red noise is good. and it gives me something else to focus on and drown out some things like most breathing. this isn't commonly known and I just wanted to get it out there. I'm going to reblog this a few times just to try to spread it further because I would have loved to know this years ago.
