Before you make a joke about 'getting that man pregnant' or about male pregnancy in general, ask yourself:

can i be honest? i feel like the hatred of discussions of transandrophobia, rise in radical feminism, slide back into transmedicalism, and just this rise in casual misogyny and expectations of womenhood (ie: girl math, girl dinner) are all things that go hand in hand. like the perception of women as the "weaker" gender, which both denies them their agency and autonomy to do harm, and the perception of men as the "stronger" gender, which means they're seen as oppressers and never the oppressed, are all a key part of why people are reacting like this. i think that's why discussions of transandrophobia befuddles a lot of people. combine this with the erasure of transmasc experiences, and suddenly, you have the perfect narrative about these "weak girls" transitioning into "strong men".

I don't really like the whole "all transandrophobic posts are psyops" thing because it's? really not that true? i mean historically trans masculine people have been erased and made invisible (think of all the historical figures who identified as a man their whole life just to have supposed queer allies turn around to be like #girlbossss). and it's still an issue. people refuse to use gender neutral terms when talking about reproductive rights even though it'd cost them nothing. news about transmascs being forcibly detransitioned and made into breeders for the state barely make it out there. their deaths are still being labelled as femicides and terfs are still painting them as predators to little girls.

this is actually horrific right? we can all agree about that?

Every time I land into a string of the worst fucking luck I've ever had in my entire life, I think of a scene in my favorite movie, "NOPE", which sums up my feelings on it;

First was Ansel's disappearance after his suicide note. Then my roommate turned out to be a fucking sexual predator who had been lying and hiding this whole time (my roommate, who's been one of my best friends since I was 14). Then my aunt died suddenly from a heart attack. Then my great aunt died (thankfully surrounded by her loved ones except for my father, whose aunt is his, because he got a new fucking job and couldn't make it and cried for two hours without letting anyone but my mom know, who snitched on my sister and I because we love him and are worried that he didn't cry). Then the new job I was like, 90% sure I was about to get (within the game industry) vanished due to a change in management. Then my other great aunt died (leaving my great uncle alone and so sad that he's currently hospitalized). Then my roommates and I had a fight so hard that I'm wondering if everything I've ever built and worked for is even worth it. It's gotten so fucking bad that I just. I think I need to fucking move. And finally, once more, my prescription for testosterone didn't get renewed bc doctors are fucking idiots. So now I'm late on my shot and I'm a fucking mess.

maybe im crazy but there's something i've noticed with how like. both zuko atla and hamlet (hamlet) are male characters whose stories heavily center on their struggles with trauma and guilt, who are shown to be emotional, and who i see running jokes about them being whiny bitchboys whose trauma is something to be mocked, who should've just manned up and quit whining etc etc. do you see what i'm getting at here. like. idk i've just never found it comfortable how people will make a big joke out of zuko's "obsession with honor" when it is, textually and explicitly, about him being literally exiled by his abusive father after being violently hurt by him in public and sent on a suicide mission that represents just how much his father hates him and sees him as a failure.
