Reblogging for the neck pain ones… whoa Nelly, do I ever get the most killer neck pains.
When I was in rehab for a broken hip, my physiotherapist taught me to do the hand/wrist, feet and neck exercises as well as leg extensions etc.
‘It’s all connected,’ he’d say. And he’s right :) I still do those exercises regularly and they help. They help a lot.
FUCK. honestly just FUCK. We missed a very important day yesterday.
what was yesterday, cat?
I’m not missing it this year.

A herd of bison has returned to Burlington Prairie in Kane County, part of a long-awaited return led by the American Indian Center
From the article:
In Kane County, members of the Native American community gathered in December to welcome back a relative that's been missing for generations. A herd of bison has returned to Burlington Prairie, part of a long-awaited return led by the American Indian Center—honoring Native stewardship of the land and reconnecting culture, history, and community. "Sometimes we have stories that begin with back in the times when all things spoke," said Robert Wapahi, a tribal elder with the Santee Sioux. "If nothing else, it's the history lessons about what should be done to protect them." This story starts just after sunrise on Burlington Prairie, where a community came together to honor a return of sorts; a return to land and to home "For us to be able to be a part of this, it just adds that special moment for us to kind of share," said "It's different when you're welcoming them back home. That's their home, not mine," Wapahi said.

genuinely one of my favourite details about Bram Stokers Dracula that isn't really transferred to the pop culture is that vampires have irridescent eyes, they appear brown at a glance, however when light is reflected on them they seem to go red!
another thing that pop culture latched onto is this idea that you might use a wreath of garlic bulbs to ward off a vampire, however, in the book there is a popular use of garlic blossoms rather than the bulbs. i think these are a lot prettier and way more versatile for stylisation! you could have a garlic flower crown.
also like the cowboy part can we please stop omitting the fact that there is a real ass cowboy in Bram Stokers Dracula and hes from real ass Texas and he has a fucking gun and he tries to fucking shoot Dracula

i really like this thing where websites will have separate "log in" & "sign up" buttons and if you click "log in" it takes you to a sign-up screen anyway so you have to click "i already have an account" and then it will ask if you want to sign in with your facebook account or with instagram or linkedin or deviantart or whatever, and if you choose "username & password" it asks if you want to put in your username or use your thumbprint, and once you put your username & password it emails you a confirmation code, and once you put in the code it says "do you want to give us your phone number for future sign-ins? do you want to sign up for facial recognition? do you want to give us your bones? give us your fucking bones?
