In the sense that we put Arceus, the all powerful god of Pokemon, in powerless situations and stories. Stories where Arceus is forced into the role of a Househusband/person despite their/his desires to be something else. Stories set in the Omegaverse where Arceus is the Omega and has to deal with the heat cycles and the discrimination that comes with it. Stories where Arceus is tortured. Stories where Arceus gets amnesia and has to remember who he is. Stories where Arceus is placed in a subordinate role and has to deal with the anguish of it. No amount of their/his power can save Arceus. 

Would it probably be a concept that women like me use to explore their femininity and the misogynistic horrors of being a woman? Yes. Would it lead to some very emotionally intense or dark fics? Yes. Might it become the Pokemon version of Omegaverse? Maybe. Would it unfortunately attract Proshippers? Unfortunately, yes. Do I want them/invite them? FUCK NO (I’m going to say it right now Proshippers will not be welcome).

I probably have more thoughts but I really need to go to bed, so I’ll edit them in tomorrow, bye.

Edit: Also I feel like with the Power Rangers Concept and Eeveelution Squad Concept I would allow myself to be self-indulgent as hell and put all my favourite tropes, but I don't know if it would be something I'd be satisfied with long term. However, with the Horror series I'd try and be more restrained with myself, which would probably be less fun to write in the moment but be better for my long term satisfaction.

So I was collecting some images of Angel Dust for a Reference Board I was working on, and I started to realise how many scenes him Sir Pentious and Angel Dust were seen together, I get that it was probably to show them bonding after them not getting along in Episode 2, and many scenes were because they were interacting (which for this sh*tpost I tried to keep it to the scenes they weren't necessarly interacting, though I did sneak some in there), but it's kind of funny as a diehard SirDust shipper. Combined with their fun interactions I feel like even without the mountains of story ideas I have for them I think they're still a cute couple. It's also kind of funny I barely got any shots in Episode 4,6, and 8 because those are the episodes where HuskerDust and CherriSnake feature lol, they literally had to separate them so they didn't distract from the canon ships lol (this is a joke I don't think this was intentional).

TBH my main problem with Alastor is that the show and Alastor keep TELLING us how mysterious, cool and powerful he is instead of actually showing us, so it makes him extremely grating to watch when he acts like he's the coolest thing in the room. Pilot Alastor was so much fun BECAUSE he still acted like the jaunty Radio man he was in his prime DESPITE what he's achieved in Hell, he was so casual and I loved that.

Also why the f*ck did they make the one to get get dumped and the one we're supposed to feel sorry for...A Villain? Like, wouldn't make more sense if the show made us feel bad for Alastor and explore how Aphobia and the obsession with relationships our world has can tear friendships apart, or have the Villain be the one to dump one of the main cast and admit to them they were only using them? Like, I hold the opinion that the Hellaverse has a constant problem of not letting the Main Cast be bad people on more than a surface level, but why are you choosing to Woobify the man who literally forced an Asexual man to watch him and his partner bone a scene before instead of one of the Main Cast who we are supposed to sympathise with?

I wish they put all this ‘tries to be cooler than he actually is’ energy they put into Alastor into Sir Pentious, just with a more ‘Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain’ spin to it. Like, in the sense that he acts like everyone should know him and how he’s going to be a powerful threat when he’s a powerful Overlord/he is a powerful threat now, but since he’s the comedic character it can instead be played for comedy where everyone is constantly forgetting about him and doesn’t take him seriously, and he constantly gets the sh*t kicked out of him because he’s an ordinary Sinner going up against literal OVERLORDS. Like, imagine him acting like him and Vox have this massive rivalry, but Vox keeps on forgetting about him and just sees him as, ‘the guy I dumped years ago’, since it could be interesting to have it be Vox who dumps Pentious instead, Pentious could even still have lingering unrequited feelings for Vox which could be interesting, especially with Vox’s relationship with Val (or just use it as an excuse to have an ‘On My Own’ parody IDK). Also him losing to Shok.Wav would also make more sense because again, literal Sinner against Overlord’s shark. It could also make for some interesting deconstruction on why he acts like this (it could be a mask maybe?), and could have a ton of routes for a character arc depending if you want to redeem him or not. Plus if we transfer the ‘Has his owned by Rosie’ and actually make her an antagonist it could be a more equal parallel to Angel Dust than Husk is and we could do SirDust instead (I know they’re doing to address HuskerDust’s differences in Season 3 but come on, why did you wait that long?), also her more jaunty personality (which I would keep when she’s being evil cause that’s always fun) would be a very fun contrast to Valentino’s (cause I make him more serious than he is in the show), plus it could make for some scary horror sequences (like, imagine her forcing him to eat Sinner meat ooooooh).

In terms of the other characters, If we keep Alastor we could just make him like he was in the Pilot, not in a contract with anyone and maybe could have no tragic backstory to make him extra fun, which could contrast Sir Pentious if we give him an extremely tragic backstory. Alastor could either be more of a character who aids in other’s arcs, or he could have an arc of becoming more human/open with everybody, since he could cling onto his ‘Jaunty Radioman persona’ and maybe is trying to get rid of his humanity/doesn’t see himself as human. Or maybe we could get rid of Alastor entirely and just give the Powerful Overlord Investor role to Niffty instead, who may put up the facade of a boy-crazy ditz to hide how cruel and clever she actually is, maybe to get her opponents and enemies (and audience) to underestimate her power. It could lend to some fun gags where she solves something for the gang or in the background. Not to mention it could be a fun way to make a Tumblr SexyWoman, since there’s a severe lack of those, and we could make Husk AroAce since SirDust would be a thing instead. Plus you could use this opportunity to add Cherri Bomb to the Main Cast and have the Cast consist of Seven Main Characters (since I wouldn’t add Baxter to the cast or redeem Pentious so early), which could be a fun nod to the Seven Deadly Sins with each character representing a Sin each.

Exactly like the title says, if the guilt based judgement theory is correct I’m going to slam my head against a wall, and unfortunately with the hints to Angel’s backstory and the conversion in the Casino I’m pretty sure it’s part of the canon.

The big thing that annoys me about it is the fact that it gives the writers a cheat code for why the characters are in Hell without giving them fundamentally horrid flaws that make them do things that people wouldn’t like on more than a surface level. Maybe it’s my personal taste, since I’ve come to realise that writing horrid people is a lot of fun, and there’s just something so magical when a fandom knows a character is a piece of shit and doesn’t condone their actions but loves them anyway, which I feel like somewhat missing in the Hellaverse. Also I BET that the guilt based reasoning will only apply to the MALE characters, since despite this being a ‘female led show’ it only wants to give ‘depth’ to its male characters and will make any excuse to woobify them.

Also if this guilt based judgement is true…Does that mean there’s a good chance that there’s gay people pre-de-criminalisation of homosexuality and people who got victim-blamed for shit are in Hell, along with the people that drilled that into them? Like, gay people were literally told for CENTURIES that they were going to Hell, so does that mean the people that don’t reject that go to Hell? Isn’t…Isn’t that a bit victim blamey when you think about it? I know that could be an interesting thing to explore and highlight the Corruption of the Afterlife, but this show isn’t interested in diving into topics like that on more than a surface level, and let’s face it this show only implied that judgement system so they could just say, ‘Oh, the characters are in Hell because THEY feel they DESERVE Hell!’ instead of wanting to make any meaningful commentary on the world we live in, so I don’t even think implying that was intentionally done by the writers.

I think the reason I’m being unreasonably annoyed at the possibility of a guilt based judgement system is…What’s the point of setting it in Hell if you’re not going to make your Main Cast arseholes on more than a surface level? Why did they even set it in Hell? Why not Heaven? That way you can have the Main Cast be good people you can woobify while still having access to Hell and maybe having antagonists that come from there. 

Don’t they see the gold they’ve struck? By setting it in Hell they’ve given themselves an opportunity that most other creators would kill for: They can have the Main Cast be characters that would be villains in other shows and do horrid things to others for both comedic and dramatic effect. Not only that, but by setting it in Hell they’ll also attract an audience that will be more tolerant to the character’s behaviour because they would expect it from characters who are literally in Hell. I know the whole ‘It’s Hell!’ Is a meme at this point in the Hellaverse, but why can’t the show lean into it instead of it just being seen as an excuse? Along with that with the premise you’ve set up people who may have usually dropped the show because the arsehole cast might stick around due to the hope of them realising how bad their actions are and becoming better people. Or maybe lean into them being cartoony depictions of bad people used for comedy, before pulling back the curtain to reveal how horrible their behaviour actually is? 

Like, maybe still have Angel Dust be a cartoony version of a Porn character/actor, but maybe later we find out he was a Mafia member in life and he’s either stuck in it through contract or trying to escape that part of his past but it keeps coming back to haunt him, and he uses Sex work and a flirty persona as a form of escapism, which could lend to his flaw being some kind of cowardice and refusal to confront things from his past, which could lead to an interesting character arc. Sir Pentious could still be a Saturday Morning Cartoon Inventor Villain, but he could also be extremely Envious of others and a bit of an Attention Whore, which could lean into his Villain theme with him constantly making plans and schemes for ruining people’s lives, and maybe the Inventor Villain persona could be a facade he puts up and he’s actually quite meek and shy, which could give him and Angel a thing to relate and talk about (maybe with some juicy SirDust?), also maybe we could use him to take the piss out of the ‘tragic villain backstory (usually when done poorly only there to justify their actions or redeem them)’ trope, where we take it to the extreme and maybe have an entire episode or song where he explains his extremely traumatic and long backstory, and could even have him break down at the end, and everyone’s like ‘Wow, maybe I’d care if you weren’t such an arsehole’, you know, since they themselves are arseholes. Cherri Bomb could start out as the ‘rebellious punk bitch’ archetype, but as the show goes on we start to realise how Sadistic and violent she really is, and how her ‘doing whatever the fuck comes to her Sadistic mind’ really harms the people around her (maybe she and Pentious used to be friends, but maybe she tortured him or something and they became rivals, and some of the story could be about her trying to rebuild that burnt bridge with him). Husk could be really good at getting into people’s minds and understanding how they work, but instead of using that power to be a Wise Old Bartender, he instead uses it to manipulate people into giving into their addictions/getting addicted to things or for doing things for his own personal gain, and his arc could be about him using his powers to help people rather than destroy them. Charlie could be a Disney Princess archetype, but could be used to comment on the stupid Cinema Sins/Buzzfeed critiques of them on them in the 2000s, and also have a Prideful spin (because you know, Princess of Lucifer, Sin of PRIDE), where she wants to redeem Sinners because she wants to prove herself to Hell and show how ‘independent’ she is, which leads to her constantly going, ‘Don’t worry, I don’t need help, I know what sinners need.’ But at the start she treats them like children, making them do childish activities and anti-drug PSA type stuff, which could be called out by other characters as focusing on the wrong things, which could lead to her realising she does need help and actually starts to learn about the cast’s Sins and what they need in order to redeem them, this could lend into a character arc of her realising that you don’t have to be totally independent and it’s alright for her to get help, also maybe she could deny being in love with Vaggie since she doesn’t want to involve herself with ‘True Love’, but she could realise that harming their lives and maybe that True Love does exist and they could become a cute couple. Vaggie could be a stoic warrior archetype (or have a personality similar to Rosa from Brooklyn 99) but could have an issue with tying her self worth to what she can provide to others, and her arc could be her finding her own worth and self love, granted that kind of tame compared to the others I proposed, but I think that fits with her being a fallen angel, and could easily just make it so she was extremely devoted to the Angel’s cause and hurt and maybe even killed angels that didn’t hold up to those standards in her eyes, which could be why she fell.

I could go on but I feel like I’ve made my point, essentially the implied guilt based system sucks, if it only used one character, that would be fine, but since I’m pretty sure it’s being implied in almost all the cast it kind of annoys me. It just feels like a shitty excuse to make the characters ‘UWU sad boys’ and it sucks. Peace out.

So, If you’ve been a fan of me/looked at my blog before, you’ll know that I’m a MASSIVE fan of SirDust. When I first got into the fandom I shipped RadioDust since the dynamic of an Asexual Radio Demon and a Hypersexual Spider Pornstar was extremely interesting to me, not to mention it would be good for Angel Dust to have a partner that doesn’t just want to get in bed with him (Granted that could be said for HuskerDust and SirDust but still). However, after the show aired and Alastor and Angel barely talked, I started to pivot towards SirDust. If I remember correctly it was always a ship that seemed neat to me, but after the show aired it began to climb the ranks and now it’s my OTP. However, I’ve realised that I’ve never really fully explained why I ship SirDust. So in a spark of motivation, I wrote this entire post to give all my reasons for why (it was actually kind of relaxing, since I’ve been using it to unwind after College). I could make a video with these notes, but to be honest I don’t think it would be that good since I’m not very good at scripting or speaking into a microphone, and I’m busy with College work so this post will have to do. Let’s begin!

First of all, let’s get this out of the way. No hate for HuskerDust or CherriSnake. They have a lot of potential. They’re just not my thing (I’m not really going to go into detail about it, since I don’t really know how to put it into words, I might go bit into my issues with CherriSnake but that’s about it), and I feel like being in a romantic/intimate relationship doesn’t really fit Husk and Cherri Bomb. Granted, it’s probably since I ship SirDust I made headcannons and scenarios that explained to me why they would be better not in ships than in ships, but I will try to explain the things I would do with them instead. I will admit this probably accidentally sounds like ‘Why can’t they just be FRIENDS?’ which I don’t mean. Like I said I don’t mind the ships that were chosen, I just really like SirDust and I’m using this post to explain why. 

I know there are already people who already ship SirDust, though it’s been kind of a rare pair even from the Pilot days with the dominance of RadioDust and HuskerDust, even more so after the show’s release with HuskerDust and CherriSnake basically drowning it. From my absolute scouring of the SirDust tags on websites like Tumblr and AO3, what I’ve realised is that a lot of people ship it more for the Porn and cuteness aspect. Which is fine to be clear, I will admit I find them both hot, they could be really cute as a couple and I can definitely see the appeal. It’s just not the best for an AroAce like me who finds the lead up to Porn more erotic than the actual Porn (though I’d like to give it more of a try) or is trying to find a good old ‘Enemies to Lovers’ or ‘SlowBurn Romance’ story and gets bombarded by Porn. It’s just the way I ship, because a lot of the time when I ship something I think of all the story potential, that they both have in common, what they differentiate in, and how they could influence each other arcs and stories. Not to mention the AU scenarios you could put them in (for example I kind of also enjoy RadioSnake because of the concept of a man that let a Serial Killer get away with their crimes developing romantic relationship with Serial Killer could lead to some interesting conflict, especially if we make Sir Pentious a victim of Jack The Ripper/A Fictional Serial Killer), rather than because I think they’re cute or hot, that is more of a bonus when I ship stuff. Again no hate to the people who ship it because it’s cute/hot, and I’m not saying that these people ONLY ship it because it’s cute/hot, and I will admit that my attraction to this ship is probably because they’re my two favourite characters and I’m kind of just mashing them together, I’m just an overthinking bitch who thinks about the potential stories she could make rather than actually making them.

The Small stuff (aka the stupid shit).

First, other than the fact I think that would be a cute couple, I’m going to start with a silly one with the fact that the Egg Bois are voiced by the same VA as Angel Dust in the show, this doesn’t really have anything to do with the story, I just find the concept of any time Pentious talking to the Egg Bois technically being him talking to his future boyfriend kind of funny to me (not to mention the meme potential, especially with the concept of drawing Angel Dust in an Egg Boi costume). Speaking of the Eggs Bois, Both Angel and Pentious both have little companions (Fat Nuggets for Angel and The Egg Bois for Pentious) and it could be really cute for them to relate to each other on that level and maybe swap companions for an episode, maybe even have an episode where both their companions are kidnapped and they have to band together to get them back. Angel could also be a bit of a Weapons/Guns nut, which could mean that Sir Pentious could go full on ‘It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’ on him since he’s an Inventor, and Angel could be all over it and could even share his own tidbits, it could be a way of linking both their professions together and could lead to some funny interactions. Also them getting together would make Sir Pentious’ line of ‘gross! I’d never think of it, spider!’ extremely ironic and funny, especially if they did start banging. Finally, and probably the most stupid, I feel like their colour palettes gel a lot better than HuskerDust and CherriSnake. Which is kind of ironic because their colour palettes are quite close to SirDust’s, maybe it’s the absence of Red and incorporation of the Hot Pink, IDK I just can’t put my finger on it. (Extra Note: LovesArt23’s designs of Angel Dust and Sir Pentious and their colour palettes gel SO well omg. PLEASE MAKE MORE SIRDUST FANART WITH YOUR REDESIGNS LOVESART23 I’M BEGGING YOU).

The Big Stuff (aka the juicy parts).

Both Angel and Sir Pentious put on masks/act so cartoony that no actual person would act like (Stereotypical Porn Actor/Character for Angel Dust, Stereotypical Saturday Morning Cartoon/Mad Victorian Inventor for Sir Pentious) especially in the Pilot (and TBH I kind of prefer them in the Pilot. That’s all I’m going to say), so they could both do it to hide their insecurities and true selves. I kind of like the concept of their true selves being somewhat the opposite of the masks they put on. Sir Pentious could actually be quite shy and skittish, maybe even a doormat (his hair could be in a more FlutterShy style where it covers one eye). While Angel could be more like a gritty mobster or maybe combine him with Arackniss and make Arackniss’ personality his true self and Angel Dust’s personality be the facade he puts up. It was the reason I kind of started shipping them instead of RadioDust and to be honest it could be cute to see them confide in each other and work through that make them put up such masks, and slowly become more comfortable with how they truly are (maybe even letting it seeping into their masks).

It would be funny if Husk caught onto the fact they both put on cartoony masks, and get increasingly frustrated that they aren’t realising this and just coming to him to talk about their problems. Which could lead to a funny scenario where he calls them out on how similar they are and could even force them into a situation where they have to rely on each other to get out or just spend time with each other and actually talk. I kind of like the idea of Husk being an accidental Shipper rather than him being in a Ship. Like, him being like to someone, ‘Hey! You have a lot in common with that person, you should talk to them’ and before he knows it they’re singing passionate Love Ballads and he’s powerless to stop them. I think that would be a lot more funny. He could also be the one to know of Pentious’ Sexuality (maybe Pentious told him when he was drunk), which could either lead to a scene where he has a conversation with Pentious about it, maybe suggesting that he tells Angel to try and get him to stop and Pentious begs him not to tell anyone (he could be worried that Angel would escalate if he knew), or maybe when Angel finds out he makes a comment about knowing but Pentious telling him not to tell him. 

To be honest, while I don’t really mind Pentious being in a heterosexual relationship and CherriSnake, I feel like Pentious being a homosexual relationship could’ve been interesting. A lot of the cast come from times where being LGBTQIA+ was stigmatised, I don’t mind the fact that they don’t really have any gayngst, since it could be seen as repetitive and feeding into the ‘unhappy gays’ trope. The only one that really annoys me is Sir Pentious, he comes from the Victorian Period, a time where people were literally being told they were going to Hell just for being Gay. Granted, he could’ve discovered his sexuality IN Hell, or gotten over that before the events of the story, and this could be an arc for literally any other character in the cast, but it could be interesting for him to be a Repressed Closeted Bisexual who could even act Homophobic towards others, who over the course of the story is forced to confront and unpack his Self-Hatred and Internalised Homophobia as he progresses his relationship, and by the end he learns to accept himself and embrace the part of himself that he’s hid and denied for so long. I feel that would be something some of the Queer viewers could somewhat relate to, and maybe even show that Queer people can act Homophobic as well. IDK I just think it could be neat.

This could lead to an interesting dynamic between him and Angel Dust. Either we could just have them be ‘Closeted Bisexual Victorian having beef with the Openly Gay Mafia member’ until the episode where they open up to each other about putting up facades, or the more risky option is to have Angel assume that Pentious is just a Homophobic Straight Guy he can kid around with, and proceeds to start teasing him, until an episode where either Angel activates a Love Spell to get back at a client or something only for it backfire and force Sir Pentious out of the closet (maybe it could also work on almost every other guy and the episode could be about Angel avoiding them and reversing the Spell) and afterwards Pentious rightfully tells him to fuck off. Or maybe Angel after a long day sees Sir Pentious on the couch and decides to tease him a little bit (maybe wearing something skimpy), which then escalates into maybe some touching and actual flirtation. This could lead Pentious to quickly slither up stairs and for Angel to follow him, which could lead to them having an argument where Pentious apologises for his comments and says that he doesn’t reciprocate, which Angel remarks that already knew and that wasn’t his goal, since he just saw Pentious as an easy target and how he’d be more surprised if he was actually gay…Only for Pentious to start crying, which causes Angel to realise what’s going on, and Angel comforts Pentious as he has a Gayngst moment, afterwards Husk could confront Angel about it and basically say ‘Hey, I know your situation isn't the best and we will help you out of it, but Pentious just had to reveal personal information to you and it wouldn't have been better if he was straight, so could you at least try to respect people's boundaries’ or maybe as a way to combine both these ideas and have Sir Pentious be turned into a Vampire (either by chance or Angel’s doing) and maybe it being used as a metaphor for his sexuality and self-hatred, and his struggle to keep the hunger in check could be like his struggle to hide his sexuality. Which could lead into a scene where Angel tries to tempt Pentious into biting him, since it would be funny if he was into that kind of thing, which could backfire horribly. Angel could gradually connect the dots and try to apologise, but afterwards Pentious rightfully tells him to fuck off. With any of these choices it would be basically, ‘Angel accidentally forces Pentious out of the closet’. This could lead to Angel feeling guilty about it and trying to make it up to Pentious by spending some time with him, which could lead to him getting caught up in one of Pentious’ evil schemes (because TBH if I got the chance to rewrite this show I would not have him redeemed so early and make him an Envious bitch who sabotages overs and sabotaged other inventors in life), which could lead to the scene where they both open up to each other about using masks to hide their true selves and insecurities. It could be a way for Angel for realise how fucked up his harassment of others really is and could be a way for them to open up to each other and sow the seeds for a future relationship if you want to go that route.

Not to mention the comedic gold of Sir Pentious realising he has feelings for Angel, and going into a bit of a panic mode and desperately trying to hide it especially from Cherri because he could be worried that Cherri would be pissed at him because they’re rivals, but fails miserably, or maybe Angel could also develop feelings and they could enter a secret relationship but they get caught. You could go multiple directions with this, we could have her actually get pissed at him because she could be worried at he’ll hurt Angel, or maybe she gets more pissed off at the fact he felt like he couldn’t tell her (especially if they went into a secret relationship behind her back), though I’m kind of worried that those scenarios could come off as, ‘women getting in the way of a gay ship’. So it would be kind of funny if he confesses to her and she just goes, ‘yeah I know’ and reveals that everyone else has kind of caught on to him. TBH I kind of find the concept of everyone but Pentious and Angel realising that they’re in love with each other and basically just waiting for them to finally confess and fuck (or date). Or maybe Angel leaves the Hotel, and Cherri and Pentious are talking about it. Maybe Cherri could say something about how it must be hard for Pentious since he and Angel were a thing, which Pentious swiftly denies, before having a ‘Rachel from Friends’ moment where he tries to explain further before having a shocked epiphany that he does love Angel Dust. Right after he’s left the Hotel. Which could lead into either a duet with Cherri and Pentious about Angel, or just having Pentious singing a powerful Love Ballad (which could contrast a quiet love epiphany song Angel sings later) and after the song Pentious decides with Cherri to try and get Angel back, or if he’s being held somewhere to rescue him with the rest of the gang.

TBH I just like the concept of Cherri Bomb being the ‘Shipper on deck’ for these two, egging them on to confess to each other and get together, especially since I kind of like the concept of them being a trio who could do mischief with each other. I also like the concept of Cherri and Pentious being previous friends/partners, but one of them (I’d make it Cherri) fucks up and the other doesn’t want to know them anymore and they became rivals, and when Cherri finds out about Pentious’ feelings for Angel, Pentious could be like ‘but we’re rivals’ which could make Cherri go ‘can we be friends again?’ and it starts the arc of them repairing their friendship. It could also mean that Cherri could get a character arc of her own and get to be more than just ‘Angel’s friend/emotional support friend’ and ‘The girl Sir Pentious obsesses over and wants to fuck’. Granted, that’s more of a problem with the show's writing then the ship itself and you could probably still do this with CherriSnake (and TBH with my proposition of them being friends to enemies CherriSnake would be even juicier), I just prefer SirDust (If this whole ramble wasn’t proof).

Canon Constraints be damned.

So, how would this ship work in the Canon (and scenarios)? Uh…I don’t know. If we still want to redeem Sir Pentious we could just have Angel take Cherri’s place (and maybe make Cherri the mind controlled spy cause the angst from that would be golden). Or if we want SirDust to be a slowburn we could redeem someone else (Husk, Cherri and Niffty could be good picks. Cherri being redeemed could be used to give depth to her backstory and character, and could provide some good angst for Pentious if we’re keeping the ‘he was a crush on Cherri’ thing and maybe even making even juicer by having it so he didn’t get the chance to confess to her, and maybe later on he does get to confess but she doesn’t reciprocate and he respects that (that would make SirDust a bit fucked up/hilarious though), but that might count as fridging. Husk would be a good choice because he doesn’t seem to be that bad besides the grumpy attitude and losing someone as wise as him that early could really hurt the team, and Niffty would be easy to make a sympathetic backstory for and could be a nice parallel to Adam). Plus if you keep Pentious in Hell it means you can give him an evilier backstory instead of just making him into a (admittedly enjoyable) cinnamon roll (all I’m saying is that you could’ve made him a super Envious Attention Whore, just saying). Maybe have Pentious be the one to try to get Angel to open up in Masquerade, or maybe have Angel trying to get Pentious to open up, since it would make sense that the Actor would know when someone’s putting on a facade, especially when it's as cartoony as a literal Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain. Or maybe have the episode be about them arguing at each other/ranting about stuff with Husk and he gets fed up and uses his magic to send them to a surreal realm that they have to escape from, maybe this realm could contain monsters/ghosts of Pentious’ and Angel’s lives and Afterlives that could hint at their backstories and struggles/traumas (which could lead to some interesting horror sequences), maybe even have them turn human to display off their human forms, and the only way they can properly escape is to open up to each, maybe we could a parallel episode with Vaggie and Charlie. Maybe with this set-up we could hide how bad Val (or if I was rewriting this, Herion or Vox as a Mafia Overlord. Since I’d make Sex Work something Angel uses to escape from being stuck in the Mafia and hating it) actually is from the audience and the cast until later into the series at which point the gang would then raid the Vees tower, break Angel’s contract, and maybe even kill Val. Which could maybe bolstered if we make Pentious the mind-controlled spy and they have to storm the Vees tower to rescue him (maybe even being forced to fight him to snap him out of his mind control), it could be an interesting way of bringing back him working for the Vees and could be used to foreshadow the severity of Angel’s situation to the audience. I guess we could also have Sir Pentious be the one to be tied to the rails, and since he doesn’t have the powers Husk has it would probably make more sense, and maybe Husk could take Pentious to his Casino and Pentious can have the ‘Oh No, He’s HOT!’ moment when seeing Angel perform, or maybe it could be a bar IDK. 

Maybe we could have Valentino and Jack the Ripper (or more preferably a fictional Serial Killer) parallel each other. Like, have Pentious know Jack/FSK more personally or maybe even track him down after seeing him murder that woman. Which could lead to Pentious lying for Jack/FCK or maybe even helping him hide the bodies, and Pentious could deeply trust him (maybe even tell Jack/FSK about his sexuality or something), but then Jack/FSK could murder him, or if we want Jack/FSK to fully parallel Valentino straight up violate Pentious. Maybe Angel's scenario could be similar, where Valentino was ‘nice’ at first and Angel used to trust before Val revealed his true colours to him (after Angel signed the contract). Pentious could be haunted by Jack/FSK just like Angel is controlled by Val, and they could both relate to how it feels to be violated by someone you thought you could trust, and it would be interesting to see how they both deal with their trauma and could be used to show how each person copes with that type of trauma differently. Maybe Jack/FSK could return and even team up with Val, which could lead to Angel and Pentious being able to fight and truly defeat their abusers together, which could lead to a super cool action scene. 

Sorry I haven't been posting Oc Art/Art in General, I've kind of been stuck in a creative rut lately. There's always a character in my OC Project that I can't decide what to do with for the life of me. So I decided to post the Animatic I did for College!

At the start of the Project I was going to do a large, ambitious Animatic to the song 'The World Has Gone Insane', but then I realised that I wouldn't be able to finish in time for the Deadline so I decided to abandon it and quickly make this one instead. It's a bit cringe and I don't really know if it will even be 'canon' in a sense, but I liked how turned out.

Maybe at the start she could be all like, 'Don't worry I can do this, I don’t need help, I already know what Sinners need' but at the start she kind of treats them like children, making them do childish activities and anti-drug PSA type stuff, and we see over the course of the series we see how it negatively affects the cast. After which she could be called out by that characters about how much damage her methods were doing to the gang (or maybe if we needed to keep within the time limit maybe have her take the gang up to show whoever is in charge of Manager deciding to show their 'progress' and have them fail miserably and have them call Charlie out for her methods and focusing on the wrong things). Maybe she could even have her rejected for manager position if it’s been enough time and the gang could split up, which could cause her to realise she does need help and start learning what redemption actually takes and she could then learn about the cast and their Sins, and what they need in order to redeem them. After this she could show up again to prove that she does have what it takes to redeem Sinners and she succeeds, meaning they reinstate her as a potential manager.

What if the Cast of Hazbin Hotel were Fallen Angels/Redeemed Sinners (already)?

Also Sir Pentious was a cannibal who tried to eat Adam at one point (it was at a meeting and he has trying to suppress it and failed since the hunger consumed him again).

Reworking Angel Dust into an OC has been such a nightmare. With the other characters I’ve been able to mold interesting stories and concepts from the stuff they already have (or with some I was able to take the scraps and use it to add in my own stuff), but Angel has been kind of difficult because Lust is a tricky Sin for me to work with, since its lesser forms are basically slut-shaming or victim-blaming but the more extreme forms are very icky and to a lot of people (including me) basically irredeemable. Add that to the fact I’m trying to avoid copyright but still wanting to keep the bases of the characters and wanting my characters to be assholes and to each to be tied to a Sin, he’s basically been a pain since I’ve either made his actions/main occupation overlap with others in the cast or either made his actions/main occupation not really sync up to Lust that well, making Lust feel more like an addon that clutters his character up rather than something that enhances him or links in well.

I’ve had a recent idea that I could make him a Game Show Presenter or something that constantly commits adultery and basically sleeps around a lot in Hell, basically Angel in a Vox-like position. It’s kind of been invading my mind at the moment, and it does have potential. I feel like it could be an interesting way to link Lust into his character (especially with the whole Adultery thing) though I’m worried if I accidentally lean into the Game Show Angle or Slut Angle the other elements might feel like addons like I was worried about. My issue with this concept is the fact that since it has elements of Vox, I’m worried that he would kind of start to infect his writing and he would overlap badly with other characters, and it would feel more like Vox than Angel, which is something I don’t want. Not to mention I feel like a character with Vox elements would be more fun as a Villain so…

At this point I might give my Oc some Adam elements aside the Angel elements with a sprinkle of ‘character who knows he’s in a cartoon and points it out at moments’.

So I haven’t seen the episode yet (since Prime sucks and I’m waiting to watch it TOTALLY LEGALLY) when I’m posting this but I did see the leaks, so I know Sir Pentious’ backstory (I checked the wiki to make sure it wasn’t still leak material, it isn’t, it feels surreal to say that). I’m not really going to talk about it fully until the season is finished. However, I just want to make some funny comments right now because I want to god dammit (I swear I’ve withheld this info within myself for nearly a year now, you have no idea how much I obsess over this one snake man especially now).

The limited info we get from the backstory seems to imply that his only Sin was not reporting Jack the Ripper. Which I’ll get into my feelings about that when the season is over, however there is a comedic sense to it in both the fact that if you know your timeline of Jack the Ripper it means he could’ve held this information for at most a few months and at least a few days or weeks, and also it’s kind of funny imagining him going 40 or more years without Sinning only to f*ck up just before he dies lol. I wish he didn’t get redeemed so early because I would’ve killed to have a scene where he tells his backstory and they just go, ‘That’s it? That’s all you did?’ (Or maybe they could’ve had this scene in Heaven IDK).

He looks so much like Stolas. Like it’s probably because they have similar facial structures, but it made watching Seeing Stars extremely funny when it was only leak material and a part of me wishes that someone (or me if I’m confident enough) will make edits with him involving CherriSnake/SirDust (because I ship SirDust okay sue me).

His design implies that his pants fused into his a*s to make his snake tail which is kinda hilarious.

His grey eyes (and eyebags) make him look dead inside. Which…same.

I love how flowy his hair looks, I’m definitely for seeing the memes that’ll become of it.
