When season 1 came out, I was worried for a radiostatic fight scene because I felt like if given the chance- Alastor wouldn't hesitate to kill Vox but Vox would hesitate to kill Alastor.
Turns out it was the other way around.

"Voxval/Staticmoth fans, how we feeling right now?"
Literally AMAZING. Sure, maybe it's not the best ending, but bro. Valentino should've killed that flat faced TV, he SHOULD'VE and COULD'VE. The fact that Valentino basically saved Vox from his own twisted and insane fate should've been off the table if he didn't truly care about that fuckass TV. The shit we saw Vox pull in season two was so hurtful to Valentino and Velvette, they honestly should've saved themselves and left Vox to die.
Bro Vox literally betrayed Valentino's trust by trying to hypnotise him. He took all the work him, Valentino, and Velvette had done and claimed it as his own. He was willing to sacrifice his AND their lives just to kill Alastor. We've seen the way Vox pushes his feelings towards Valentino aside when in public spaces. He's done a number of things that should've made the Vee's turn on him and let him die.
BUT WE SEE VALENTINO TAKE HIM BACK TO THE TOWER. VALENTINO CARES BRO. FOR A TOXIC VILLAIN COUPLE THAT SHOULD'VE NEVER HAD A CHANCE, I FUCKING LOVED THIS ENDING MORE THAN ANYTHING.
"The coping goes crazy" HELL FUCKING YES IT DOES
Is Abel an archangel?
Can anyone help me with this?
I seriously don't know if it has ever been confirmed in Season 2 or if any information had been leaked in an interview or podcast.
Abel is Adam's son and yet, we've never actually heard a confirmation or even an implication that he's an archangel as well. Because yes, he also happens to have the same golden wings that differentiates him from the other winners but an archangel is an angel meant for fighting.
(They literally have the same pair of wings come on now)
Before Abel became the general of the exorcist army, he just looked like he came out of a marching band or a choir at the very least.
It's only fair that Abel gets to be a different type of angel from the other winners since he's one of Adam's first sons.
I did look up his wiki, but it didn't give me much about his angel type either.
It just said the obvious, him being a winner like his dad and all angels who used to be humans.
So...I don't know anymore. He gets to look like a different type of angel compared to the other winners, and that just makes me assume he's a weak archangel who hasn't had any training. Right?
If that's not the case, then I don't know what else he could be...
TW for mentions of vomit and me complaining over non-canon character designs
There are these very specific very popular fan designs for the angels in Hazbin Hotel that I just dread seeing.
Genuinely it's so bad I have thrown up like three times just seeing them.
First example. Why the FUCK are they all shaped like that. I know it's the show's artstyle and whatnot but why is Michael, MICHAEL, Mr. Demon Slayer Dragon Killer Warfare and Justice Archangel a TWINK??? THAT'S NOT MY BOY FUCK NO
Same issue with Azrael because that's meant to be the personification of DEATH itself, not whateverthefuck that is. Like okay I'm fucking sorry?? Why does he look like that
At least this one by this person looks a bit better but it still makes me want to throw up. Like no hate to the artists at all I love their work but those designs make me genuinely sick to my stomach I'm not even joking I've had to get hospitalised over how bad it got once and right now I'm feeling like I'm going to vomit again.
Then there's
This. Michael looks exactly like Lucifer which pisses me off but, okay, sure, I can take it. I like many Michaels that have at some point fallen and become Lucifer, I do not actually care enough about that. Nor do I care about them making Gabriel a woman if that's what you think the problem is because I've seen some genuinely gorgeous portrayals of the angels as fem and I love them seriously. Angels don't have gender, they're genderless, we can portray them in any way we want so long as it's not sexualising (Which Hazbin itself already fucks up) or demeaning (Another thing it fucks up).
My problem is that three out of seven are kids or at least look like kids. I think we see how this could be a problem considering the type of show these designs are fanmade of, right?
Hazbin Hotel is very much not a kid friendly show, there's a reason not many children are showed to be there and especially not as the main focus or main characters of it. It makes a lot of sexual jokes about its own characters (Ahem, using Sir Pentious' SA scene as a joke), and it's just overall not a friendly space for minors. And you may say, "Oh, but Robin, they're not actually kids, they've actually been around since the creation of the world!" or, "Oh, but Robin, they're not canon, why are you so pressed about it?" So I'm going to reply to both.
"They're not actually kids!": this claim is just invalid. Sure, they could not be kids, but they look like kids. It's the same problem other popular pieces of media have that they think that just because they slapped a couple dozen zeroes to the age of a character that appears to be a minor it's okay. The thought is still there. A person who doesn't know the media that character comes from could think they're a kid. This is especially a problem when you think about why pedophiles come into the internet in the first place. This also comes with another problem that people say "they're just pixels bro" which I'll get to in a second.
"They're not canon!": No, but they're widely popular. Like the amount of fanart I've seen for these designs is insane. And it's cool idrgaf, my problem is that since they're very popular, they're much easier to find for creeps who look to shield themselves behind the "they're not real" argument.
"They're just pixels!": The. Idea. Is. Still. There. You may not want to see it but that's visibly a child, with the mind of a child, the maturity of a CHILD. We see how this could be an issue? They may not exist, yeah, but the idea is still there. Now this wouldn't be an issue if the media they were fanmade for was any SFW media (or at least not that big of an issue) but we have to remind ourselves that they're made as fan designs for Hazbin Hotel. Hazbin is not a child friendly show. Hazbin should not have children on the spotlight. They sexualise their characters all the time, even Emily who is relatively young looking and slightly immature gets that treatment. I'm not bothering with the "She's an angel!" argument either because I play What in "Hell" is bad? Sexualisation of angels is a whole nother problem that isn't mine to discuss. If anyone wants to, go ahead and do so, but I'm not going to be a hypocrite and complain about it while I play a literal porn game about biblical beings.
THE POINT IS. Child or child-like designs shouldn't be used in media like Hazbin, at least not constantly enough for it to be a main design. We've seen little Charlie, yeah, that's not a problem, because it's not her main design. For three out of the seven angel designs we got there, they look like kids. They don't have any other design so we can assume those are the main ones. Even in WHB we've seen the little seraphim and little devils.
Wtv I've stretched this out for too long.
Tldr; I hate these designs, they literally make me sick, and some too woke ramble that I wrote on my phone at like 5AM to 6:30AM while I was meant to be dead asleep.
Thank you for reading if you did, idk what I was on while writing this but I feel I missed some points I may get to some other time after I remember lol idk I may be too woke for this or smth
Anyways look at the commission I made my cousin a while back of my own Azrael design for my own story in my mind I love it mwah plz go follow them their art is so cool left the uhh watermark there so y'all can go look at their acc lol have funzies
TWO RANTS
ok, I have two rants in me so be prepared.
One, do you think people like Angel, Val, Husk, Sir Pentious, Niffty, Alastor, Vox, ect have internalized homophobia because of their time periods? I feel like some of them got over it, like Val, Angel, and Husk, but what if some of them, like Vox, Alastor, and Niffty, still kinda have it in the back of their mind? That would be quite interesting because, I'm using Val and Vox's 'relationship' as a example, Vox has has intimate moments with Valentino, but does he somehow convince himself that its like 'I'm not gay because I don't love him. Its purely physical' despite both of them clearly having romantic feelings for each other. That, as well as having romantic relationships being most likely seen as 'weak' for Overlords and their vocations on other people, Alastor for Vox and Angel for Val, is probably why they haven't actually fully dated. So, yeah. And Vox definitely had internalized racism as well.
Second rant is just StaticMoth.
THERE IS SO MUCH GODDAMN STUFF TO SAY ABOUT THEM!!!!
I'll start with the first thing I noticed. Val specifically said 'finally' when Vox came up in Season 1 episode 2. Like he wanted him to be there to calm him down. Vox has obviously done it before, as he just looks annoyed rather than mad when Val destroys his phone. Also, when they are singing in the finale, in one of the shots there is a TV sign in the background with hearts around it. Later, in season 2, during Val's solo in 'When I Think About The Future', that same sign has the TV with broken hearts around it. During Vox's freakout, the sign on V Tower, which one had all 3 Vs lit up with their signature colors, blue, pink, and purple, the pink and purple Vs are shut off. Only the middle one, the blue one, is lit up. Meaning that Vox is alone in this. Its obvious they still care for each other - Val reaches out a hand to Vox and Vox doesnt actually attack him like he did the angels and hotel crew. And Val still kisses Vox. He still felt ok kissing him. Whether he wanted to or just to distract Vox, he did. and he grabbed Vox along with Velvette. He kept trying to save Vox as well, even though it was HIS FAULT. I know I wouldn't have. Valentino loves Vox. Whether he likes it or not. And Valentino while drawing that pretty tame drawing of Vox during the meeting in season 2 pulled it closer to him when Vox walked by like he was **embarrassed**. Valentino. The loudest, most sex joked, unashamed character in the show. Was embarrassed from a pretty tame drawing. **That** is how you know Val is in love. I mean he is drawing his crush with hearts around it while smirking and biting his lip like a middle school girl with her crush. And I love that. I love that Valentino consistently doesn't hurt Vox and Vox doesn't hurt Val.
Well...at least not until Vox broke.
Val didn't hurt Vox at all before that. Because that could be brushed off as 'Vox being Vox'. What couldn't be brushed off as 'Vox being Vox' is Vox saying he would prefer to die as long as Alastor went with him. That he would rather all of them, Valentino and Velvette too, if Alastor would die. That Vox chose his obsession over **them**. Over Velvette. Over life. Over Val. And if Vox wouldn't choose life, Val chose it for him. So he ripped off his head.
AND I SWEAR TO GOD VOX IF YOU DONT WIN THAT MAN BACK-

I saw a lot of people criticizing the evolution of Valentino's characterization on S2 of Hazbin Hotel, here is my little rant on WHY i dont agree at all and think its extremely interesting :
Their problem is, he's not the manipulative, powerful jerk who only speaks kindly to charm, who only says sweet things to gain more control, and who doesn't seem to experience genuine emotion, like in Season 1.
Except that in Season 1, Valentino's characterization is developed through Angel Dust's viewpoint, who is his main victim, and above all, who is completely under his control, his influence.
This terrifying character, from whom there is no escape and who possesses all the power in this world, could be a perfect description of the Devil, absolute evil like Roo, but Valentino is a sinner, a former human.
So in season 2, we first learn that he's a bit dumb at times (his numerous "I don't understand" responses to Vox's speeches and his totally bewildered expression),
quite funny (another use of his charm is the sass),
and above all, that you can put him in his place, "mistreat" him if you're Vox (like when he grabs him, even if it doesn't compare to what he did to Angel).
That he experiences genuine emotions and can be comforted because, as you'll have gathered, this season we don't see him through Angel Dust's eyes—at least not exclusively—but mainly through the eyes of the other Vees.
And that, in my opinion, is a stroke of genius that makes him one of the most realistic characters. When you're under the influence of a toxic person, they seem invincible, capable of trapping you forever, but in reality, they're human.
Rapists have families, children, and friends they care about.
I don't want to play the personal story card, but it works very well here: I knew someone like that (obviously not on the level of Angel Dust, who is a character, so an exaggerated allegory to make it a clear example for everyone), and this person terrified me. I didn't see them for five years, and very recently I saw them again. They no longer scared me; I had emotionally detached myself from them, and my god, they were ridiculous when I saw them again.
These people are nothing without the power they wield over others.
Season 2 was gradually showing us the journey Angel Dust must take to break free from Valentino's control, to realize that he's more than a demon; he's human, he has weaknesses, and he can break free from him. We did it first so we could follow Angel Dust on his path to freedom.
Obviously, what I'm saying might be bullshit depending on how Season 3 unfolds. But don't worry, lol.
For me, Valentino is the best-written vilain because he's realistic, not in his physical appearance (big, flashy, moth-like Disney diva princess), but in his actions and behavior, how he inject fear on others, Adam didnt do that, Vox didnt do that. Valentino is scary.
Feel free to react, add to what i said or express how you dont agree with my opinion i would love to hear your interpretation :>
Hazbin & Helluva Vs. Aromanticism
(Aka: I have a problem with the Spindlehorse team about this, not shippers.)
(Also this is mainly about Alastor but can go for Octavia and Mammon too.)
Alright, so I've cleaned up this uh... rant, to make things a little more clear hopefully. But to summarize here, this is about the team's lack of commitment when every other character is allowed full confirmation of their orientations but these (potentially) aromantic characters aren't.
While I have no beef with shippers (I think you can ship whoever with whoever you want, I ship Alastor too on occasion), there is some conversation about how the fandom might be a bit of a reason WHY they "can't" be confirmed as aro. But again, my main problem is more with the showrunners than the fandom at this point about this.
I'll also be getting into why it's "important" and the double standards against characters being aromantic.
This is not an attack, ship however way you wish (again, I do it myself). My intent isn't really to stop the shipping, that would be ridiculous. But more so to give my thoughts on why it's BS characters like Alastor can't be confirmed as aromantic when other characters are allowed confirmed orientations.
Okay so this is coming from a tiktok of someone(that's asexual) talking about radioapple and the nuances they headcanon about Alastors asexuality.
(don't attack me in the notes I'm not mentally stable enough for that I just wanted to rant about it because it's fucking dumb! Let people headcanon him! As long as they don't get rid of the fact he's asexual I genuinely don't give a fuck!)
