quick backstory:

red haired guy is sel, he made a deal with a god and is bound by it

blonde girl is an old friend

other guy is the god

EXPLANATION:

1st scene: sel is talking or wtv and has a halo around they’re head (more on that later)

2nd scene: sel is talking and you can see his childhood friend who he had a falling out with (she was the daughter of the cult leader who led a genocide which resulted in the death of sel’s entire family and after sel experienced memory loss he was recruited into said cult and she sacrificed his best friend so that they could get married (he ran away and accidentally burned the entire place to the ground so the cult is kinda destroyed but she’s still after him… he’s her one true love after all…. Right?)

3rd scene: the god comes and offers his help to sel!! Yay!!!

4th scene: the deal is made 🥹 (and that halo comes back 🤔)

woah wait a minute?? Did the screen just… expand..!!! 🤯 (more symbolism, the original story was much more complex than it originally seemed..)

5th scene: sel is talking but this time the same halo is stretched across their throat, almost… threatening… he also has a gaping hole in his stomach (part of sel’s deal is that he must feed the god and sacrifice to him through acts of cannibalism, once the god is content the hole closes, this cycle repeats) sel is also crying now, realizing the extent of the deal he made

6th scene: sel continues singing when you see his friend ash… except she’s missing her head.. (much like sel, ash also made a deal with a different god… her god… except, it didn’t go the way she had planned.. (she’s not dead it’s just symbolic of how she’s lost her senses and is simply acting without thinking))

7th scene!!! The god is back!! But… this time he’s much larger… and everything is stained with blood. There’s also a small… mutilated child’s hand reaching up from the ground grasping for help

8th scene. The deal is made.. but it was never made by an adult sel.. current sel never agreed to this… his hand fades away as the child’s hand comes back… sel was only a child.. he too was a victim of the genocide… he too died… he made a deal to keep himself alive, a promise of safety.. but now he cannot die… and must kill others and consume in exchange for this life, a life he no longer wants.. but it doesn’t matter… their hands fade away but the deal remains. It always did, and always will. It was there from the beginning, just like it was at the beginning of this video and it was there until the very end… even after sel and this god are gone too…
