Robotfem: a gender that is feminine but also robot(ic). it involves themes of feeling disconnected from humanity and emotion, and a sort of binary (in a computer sense) connection to gender.

The Gender Census releases all data collected every year so that people can process data about gender-divergent people in their home countries. However, when a country has less than 10 participants we redact the country information for their safety. These countries are all very close to having usable public data!

If you live in one of these countries and your gender is in a blender, please do take our survey. It takes 5-6 minutes, it doesn't collect any identifying information or ask any intrusive/personal questions, and it helps a lot. We have over 38,000 participants so far.

The others are still below 10 but they have mostly gone up a little bit as well. :)

Hi! We've made a survey with the intent to define and discuss the phrase, "good faith identity" within LIOMOGAI and adjacent spaces!

This survey is anonymous and open to everybody! It can be taken multiple times bodily but we ask that each individual only takes it once. Please answer genuinely.

The survey will be closed on the evening of September 10th. Survey results will (ideally) be posted here by September 17th.

An upcoming anniversary in the otherkin community: On July 9, 2012, the word “otherkin” will have been coined 22 years ago. It was coined in the Elfinkind Digest, a mailing list which is active to this day. On that date in 1990, one participant, Torin, used the word “otherkin” as a variation on the earlier word “otherkind.” Both phrases were casually improvised as an abbreviated way of referring to people who identify as other kinds of creatures.

Thanks to the mailing list moderator R’ykandar Korra’ti for making this primary source available to me while I was researching our community’s history book, the Otherkin Timeline. Right now, the word “otherkin” is nearly 22 years old. That means that any otherkin who are currently in their teens weren’t even born until after the word had been coined. There are lots of otherkin who have considered themselves to be otherkin, of a kind, even years before the word had been coined. Detractors sometimes claim that otherkin is merely a passing fad popular among youth, but this is evidently not the case.

Gay Man Ally is a term for gay men who support any "non-typical" gay men such as: turigirls, mspec gay men, gaybians, straightcians, aroace gay men, she/her gay men, they/them gay men, it/its gay men, nonbinary gay men, multigender gay men, agender / genderless gay men, xenogender gay men, neurogender gay men, gay men who use controversial or contradictory labels, neurodivergent gay men and any other type of gay men that aren't see as "real" gay men for whatever reason. In short, a gay man ally is a term for gay men who uplift and support other gay men, no matter how they identify or what makes them different.

Me too anon, I'm seeing WAY too many lesbians be against lesboys, gaybians, mspec lesbians and straightbians for no reason, I don't see it happen as often with gay men being exclusionary but it still happens and it's honestly really infuriating

Cambifaun is a term for those who are cambitrans between any non-feminine transgender identities. For example, changing between transmasculine, transneutral and transagender but not transfeminine.

The 11th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th June 2024.

It’s short and easy, about 5 minutes probably.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.
