I watched an old episode of the mundane adaptation of this with Warren the other day, and I have to say I was surprised that even when they purged every other wizard reference they could, they just couldn't write out Phoebe's love for arch-necromancer Regina Phalange

It also seems like they were never fully able to write away Phoebe’s wizardly tendencies. But it makes sense, she was the most powerful wizard on the show.

A wizard that has their secret lair hidden within a mid ocean buoy. You may think it is a marker for the end of the continental shelf, but that is more accurately the tip of a metaphorical iceberg.

Just like a literal iceberg, the vast majority of his lair is beneath the waves. It gives him more room for wizardly activities, like cursed sea cucumber harvesting, kissing boys, observing kraken migration, cultivating rare sea salts, and many other magical functions.

I can't help but feel that he has rather more unwizardly motivations for one of these listed activities...

Fine, it’s true, the sea salts are for culinary pursuits and selling at farmers markets. Nothing wizardly about the salts at all.

Fights just happen when you’re a wizard. A learned mage will develop opinions and when those come in conflict with the opinions of other wizards, an altercation may occur.

I just feel that he was misinformed when he said the look of peas is the result of the parentage of the plant, whereas I know peas look the way they do based on their personal work ethic and moral character of the pea plant.

I've never met a Gavamont in any universe who didn't keep their faces at least partly concealed. It seems to be one constant across realities.

I did meet a Gavamont from an alternate dimension once who hid his face by always wearing a cheap plastic Barney the Dinosaur mask. I... I think there may be something seriously wrong with that dimension.

I made a new kind of dungeon I’m calling The Front Rooms.

It’s a reception area where there’s a really attractive punk rock girl working the desk and she has headphones on. Every time you build up the courage to talk to her and ask for directions or to buzz you in to advance in the dungeon she doesn’t hear you and sometimes she’ll take off her headphones, but only when you’re too quiet and shy and she says she can’t hear you. She then goes back to illustrating some kind of highly bisexual punk comic zine.

It’s driven several Midwest emo adventurers to madness. I’ve looted a lot of lighters and wired headphones from them.

When Ghost Meteor Storm happened in ‘08 for my dimension they were actually a shoegaze band from West Des Moines.
