Swede. She/her, fine with they/them too though. Or neo-pronouns if it is to practice using those or to piss off bigots. Mostly reblogs. Main brainrot atm is Zelda and related au:s. Posts fan art and concept sketches sometimes, see masterpost.
This is not an art blog, but I've started to upload more and more of my sketches etc so I figured it might be nice to collect them in one spot so here we are :) [Archive]
Side Blogs:
AU:s by Fwoosh: Sideblog for my AU stuff. Most art will be here!
See also my tag #fwoosh draws (I've just realized the is another artist from 2017 who uses the same tag, so I will adjust this tag later, but for now it's this)
My Artfight profile
Stolas' Realm: Sideblog for my original story
Fwoosh's Prompts. Mostly fanfiction prompts but it has some other stuff too. All prompts are tagged with trigger warnings in case people need it. See it's own Master Post to see which fandoms and such
Art I like and want to save. Literally just a side blog with art reblogs for when I want to look at art and nothing else. None of my own stuff there. Lots of fanart.
My fanfictions can be found on AO3 and FFN (the ones on ffn are slowly being cross-posted to ao3)

I know that I have an issue with overexplaining myself in books. I know it can get repetitive, and I cut so much more than makes it into the final draft.
And I do this because I have grown up in a world where I can say dinner is my magic onion secret surprise (the surprise is onions) eight times, and still have someone sit down, take a bite, and then ask me if there are onions in there.
The rule could have heavy impacts towards trans people across society.
Last week, the Trump administration quietly released a sweeping new federal rule that would use funding threats to force institutions across the country to reject transgender people. The 400-page proposed regulation would codify the administration's anti-trans executive orders into binding federal policy, imposing a blanket prohibition on federal funds going toward "gender ideology"
The proposed rule, formally titled "Regulation for Federal Financial Assistance," rewrites the government-wide framework governing all federal grants across every agency. Among its most consequential provisions, it requires that before a federal grant recipient can receive money, the award must pass a "pre-issuance review" conducted by a political appointee—not a career expert or peer reviewer—to ensure it is "consistent with applicable law, Federal agency priorities, and the national interest." The regulation explicitly instructs these appointees to screen for "denial by the recipient of the sex binary in humans or the notion that sex is a chosen or mutable characteristic." [...] An institution that acknowledges transgender people exist—through its policies, its training, its healthcare, its bathroom access, its HR procedures, its name-change processes—could be deemed to "deny the sex binary" or to “support the notion that sex is mutable” and have its federal funding blocked.
Importantly, the gender ideology prohibition has no age limitation—hospitals could be targeted not just for providing care to minors but for providing gender-affirming care to adults, because prescribing hormone therapy to a transgender patient of any age could be deemed promoting the belief that "sex is a chosen or mutable characteristic."

I identify the most with the woman who has a green velvet ribbon around her neck and keeps being like "DONT untie my neck ribbon or something really bad will happen" and then her husband unties the ribbon and her head falls off. this is extremely real to me. spent my whole life like "please don't do this thing to me or really bad stuff will happen" and everyone around me being like "that sounds fake" and doing it anyway. and then my head fell off!
i genuinely think that it's so so valuable to have stories about people that have done horrible things existing. and getting better. and worse. forgiven and resented. seeing their crimes age with them, their weight shifting, shrinking, growing. is it redemption? further corruption? is it just existence?
you lived, now what? is i think one of the more interesting questions we can pose with fiction, and i think it's maybe one of the powerful vehicles for conveying the notion that there is no point at which you stop being a person. the most unforgivable irreparable harms are caused by people making choices. and we will make bad ones and keep making them. you're not immune. no one you love is immune.
and crucially, we don't necessarily build a better world by defining criterion for forgiveness, redemption, punishment, penance. forgiveness is relational and as much about the person who has been harmed as it is about the culprit. punishment's effect is rarely improvement. societally, our ideas of redemption and penance are firmly rooted in legalistic notions of judgement — whether based on human morals or divine — where personhood and worthiness are contingent on ticking off boxes that we could argue endlessly about redefining and relitigating.
if you move the story out of that frame, though, it's not a story about "making it up." its a story about living. it's a story about making choices. it's about reflecting on the ones you've made. it's about their impact on your relationships, your sense of self. and i think that inherently has value.
you're going to fuck up. you're going to do something bad. you're going to hurt someone. you might be forgiven for it. you might carry it with you forever. you'll always be the person who did that, so long as you live. but you're going to live. you have not become a different category of person condemned to non-existence. you still have choices to make. you get to keep making them. that's the point.
Here's the thing about homeschooling that I think non-homeschooled kids don't and can't understand. You can have the best parents on the planet with the best intentions on the planet and homeschool will still seriously fuck you up. There is no way to do it ethically. I know because I basically had the best possible homeschooling experience.
My parents pulled me for the fourth grade, and I was homeschooled until the end of high school. Nine entire years. They pulled me from the public schools for a perfectly reasonable reason — my mental health was in the toilet and I needed to be away from other kids who might hurt me as they had spent all of my third grade year doing. My mom has a fucking PhD in neuroscience and tutors math professionally. She was, during the ten years that my siblings and I were homeschooled, the best, kindest, most caring, understanding, lovely teacher you could ask for.
But I'm still broken. That's the thing about homeschool. You can have the best experience possible in homeschool and still come out a fundamentally broken person. My social development stopped at the age of 10. I'm a 22 year old adult woman with the social skills of a 10 year old. That's not to say that that COULDN'T have happened in public school, but being homeschooled only made it more of a certainty. Both of my siblings and I have fewer coping strategies on average than our peers with similar neurodivergencies because we basically did not live in the real world for a decade during key developmental years.
Don't ban homeschooling because of the religious nuts. There are plenty of them. Hell, I KNEW plenty of them. But there are also plenty of quote unquote "good" homeschool families. Ones that do everything you would hope the model homeschool family does. And they are still hurting their children, even if unintentionally, because homeschooling is an inhrently traumatic experience. It's isolating. For seven entire years of my life, I had no friends. Not because I was a social outcast, but because I didn't even SEE anybody regularly enough. But, nonetheless, I knew people. You generally do if you get involved in the community.
Ban homeschooling because it breaks and utterly destroys everyone who goes through it.
Everyone.
I'm sorry, Lauren. I'm sorry, Kade. I'm sorry to the boy whose name I can no longer remember. I'm sorry that I survived and you didn't.
Homeschooling was probably the best possible way for me to get educated, given my particularly blend of neurodivergence: It still messed me up terribly bad, and I was one of the luckiest ones. For most kids it was far, far worse.

btw fic writers don't write FOR you, they share their writing WITH you so you actually don't get to tell them to what they should or shouldn't be writing unless they fucking ask
