I watched Iron Lung last night and have three (spoiler free) comments on it.

Really really good. Excellent use of lighting and camerawork to set the tone, very good ramping of the horror.

having never watched a Markiplier video before, his voice is a lot deeper than I would have thought (I've only ever seen one of his scream reactions used in a crackvid)

He has very very pretty eyes and he's very good at emoting in tight closeups.

It's so fucking crazy that the Star Trek episode where you first see Spock do the Vulcan salute that would become emblematic of the entire franchise, and the first time you hear him say "live long and prosper," is also the one where he has to return to his home planet to Fuck Or Die but then gets manipulated into a pro wrestling match with Kirk that apparently serves the same function as the fuck option and totally cures him. And this aired as the season two premiere! It was the first time audiences saw Chekov! And it's the one with top surgery Kirk. It truly has it all. Greatest TV episode ever made.

So I'm having back surgery on the 8th to hopefully fix my spondylolisthesis and the nurse from the surgery center called today to just do a once over on medical history and give instructions for presurgery (and how to find the parking lot of the building, nice).

While going over my meds she asked if I had started taking the Colestid yet...

y'all I had no idea what she was talking about, apparently my primary care is planning on that if my cholesterol rises any higher (yay tamoxifen side effects). Why the fuck would she not mention that to me? Like she hasn't mentioned medication for it all, just monitoring it and eat more fiber.

But yay on my doctors actually communicating with each other, that's good right?
