1. Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee

To quote the author, “The big gay European road trip novel set in the eighteenth century you didn’t know you needed.”

It’s hilarious while still having that tug-at-your-heartstrings aspect. It has lots of good rep (black love interest of upper status, ace kickass girl whose still acts feminine, epilepsy rep). It tells a story of sarcasm and wit and cliches that you’d normally see in other ya contemporaries and turns it on its head because times are different in the 1700s. Its tropey and fun and makes for a great read, especially if you’re in a book slump.

2. Autoboyography by Christina Lauren

This book is literally the definition of disaster bi. First off, just want to put out that there is s boy of that sad lgbt narrative when it comes to this book despite how fluffy and smiley the story is so keep that in mind. We follow a boy named Tanner who lives in a very morman town. While at a writing seminar, he falls for this boy. And oh-ho its not just any boy, he’s the bishop’s son. This book delves in religion a lot and it’s done so respectfully and to me was really educational. We see what it’s like coming to terms with sexuality and how religion takes a heavy role in it which is something a lot of people can relate to. Anyways yes, great book with a disaster bi that makes me feel less horrible about my disaster bi self.
