I like how Devil May Cry is a whole series of games built on people accidentally discovering awesome ways to break the game and then just leaving it in.
"We were designing this Resident Evil game when we realized we'd accidentally made it so that you can launch enemies into the air with a melee attack and then juggle them indefinitely with bullets and that's undeniably fucking sick so we made a whole separate game out of it."
"People played the game and realized you could use the Enemy Step feature to jump cancel out of attacks mid air and trap enemies in infinite air combos. Sweet, this will become basically the core of DMC's entire combat system going forward."
"DMC3 has this weird glitch where when Dante does his massive windup uppercut finishing move, if you activate Devil Trigger at the exact moment it connects it causes the move to hit multiple times dealing disgusting amounts of damage. This was widely regarded as one of the most badass things ever put in a videogame so you can bet we're bringing it back in the sequel and even giving it a unique animation so you know we meant to do it this time."
