I told some lady at the theater today that she needs to get off her phone because it was distracting and she started cussing at me and saying “I can do whatever the fuck I want” and I think that sums up the fucking problem pretty concisely. you have no social etiquette and you act like an animal because you think no one around you is gonna challenge your bad fucking behavior. I try to keep in my lane for the most part but I have to admit it's been pretty disappointing to see something that means so much to me become dominated by people with poor boundaries who feel like the blurring of the lines between reality and fiction in the format of the show gives them carte blanche to pry into the areas of people's personal lives they aren't deliberately making public. Is this symptomatic of covid-era social isolation or just an inevitability of something small-scale suddenly finding a much larger audience? I'm not sure. But regardless it's a violation of the crew's boundaries and especially a violation of the boundaries of the people close to them who are not public individuals. If you feel the need to spend your time hunting down private information on people you don't know personally, and then posting it publicly, you need to introspect on what you're doing and change your behavior.
