I made this hive tool for my sister, she’s studying to be a beekeeper and already takes care of two hives full of bees. The broad side of this hive tool (kastbeitel in Dutch) is used to pry open the hive. Bees tend to plug every slit and hole with a sticky substance to insulate the hive.
