It's nuts how common it is to not allow children to be angry, even (especially) in households where adults are angry all the time. As a child I knew my own anger was unacceptable--not just expressing it outwardly but feeling it at all. So now as an adult my immediate reaction to my own anger is often to feel guilt instead of like. Noticing when someone is being rude or unfair or my boundaries are being violated or whatever. fucked up.

tomorrow i get to fly to my best friend (of 23 years) and then we get to drive to new york together and then LIVE TOGETHER like we’ve talked about for 23 years (the whole time we’ve been friends) and now that i have her again im never ever ever letting her go we’re gonna live together until we die

and then people try to tell me like “oh one day you’ll find a partner and move away from each other” SIKE my ex moved out a month ago and i’m moving my best friend in. and when (if) we find romantic partners we’re buying a mansion together with all our best friends. i’m literally never letting this bitch go
