Definitely interested in hearing more about your experiences with past life regression.
Yeah! happy to share it.
So I've been a medium since I was little. And I also had a few past lives seep through in dreams. They were very emotional, vivid and like I was experiencing it again. It was a highly traumatic lifetime.
But my first like guided past life experience with a hypnotherapist was really interesting. very different from those early experiences that felt so intensely. This was sort of like existing as both experiencing the lifetime again through my eyes, while also watching it from above as my current self.
It's very vivid. and what is really odd about it is you'll feel emotions that aren't really yours in the moment. Like being so furious at someone for slighting you, or feeling deep grief over a lost loved one. And just kind of your consciousness is like woa I can't believe I'm crying right now but I feel what I felt then so deeply.
That lifetime was as a young French man who was a writer/philosopher in the 1730-ish Age of Enlightenment period in Vienna. Later I looked up drawings of Vienna from that period and it was exactly what I saw. In that lifetime I had died of something like tuberculosis right before I was able to publish my first book. and I was angry, and dejected. And this hypnotherapist does something that I also do when guiding people through regressions. She guided me to meet one of my spirit guides
It ended up being the guide I've know since I was little, his name is Julian. And he shared that this lifetime currently is a resolution for that lifetime, an opportunity to show myself that I can do something like write and publish a book without something bad happening to prevent me from finishing it. Because I tend to avoid doing things- like for a long time I wouldn't put art on the walls, or find a new doctor because we could have to move at any moment so what was the point. So forever living in a waiting mode.
I've had a lot of other regressions since, I've seen 8 distinct lifetimes and revisited a few multiple times in regressions with other people as well as self hypnosis. & I just did a reading with a medium who confirmed 3 of those lifetimes without knowing what I had previously seen in my own regressions which was really cool and validating.
But they've all been so interesting, sometimes I keep repeating patterns- patterns I love, apparently I really love being a big strong fisherman with a content quiet life. I've had two lifetimes as one. And currently can see echoes of the things I value - like growing up on a lake with a dad who loves sailing, being surrounded by nature.
It's so fascinating. My favorite part of a regression, both experiencing it as well as guiding one, is at the end when you get a chance to meet with and directly talk to one of your spirit guides for them to explain what you needed to see, let go of, learn from by experiencing that lifetime again.
