Stuff cis people can do for trans people on trans day of visibility:

Buy a trans person something, food, a game, whatever. Donate some money to a trans person somewhere. There's lots in the notes here. Or call / email / mail your local government rep, tell them how upset you are seeing government money wasted restricting trans health care, tell them you wouldn't want someone against trans rights representing you, tell em they should be focused on whatever sounds like something important - lie if you have to as long as it makes em thing anti trans rhetoric is going to lose votes, I don't know. Drop a line to a trans friend or acquaintance, offer a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen or a person to be around if they need it. Do stuff to make it easier for trans people to be visible and stay visible.

Yea okay, I get what ur trying to do but actually, those people are very very much in punk communities.

The tiktokification of punk has led to a sort of "if you're punk then you immediately have leftist beliefs" which is dangerous as fuck for baby punks especially.

You shouldn't just trust people cause they're in the scene, there are a lot of shitty and dangerous people who are punk.

nazis and super racist punks tend to be loud about their beliefs just like those on the opposite are. (That's why we're always fucking fighting lmao)

But with the vast majority of shitty people you'll encounter in punk spaces, it's way more low-key and hard to spot. There are a lot of punk people who tick most of the good boxes on the surface but then they get drunk and start saying slurs, or they're horribly ableist, etc.

Or (so fucking common!!) they're sexual predators especially against young, impressionable baby punks who are starting to get taught by the Internet that punk = safe and good.

These people are punk. They're in your communities, they're at your shows. Question people, keep people accountable, share stories, protect each other and stand up for what you believe in.
