Thimble's little salute and wink to Julien was cute. She probably takes some comfort in his experience with reading tiny faeries' tiny facial expressions. He may have low perception, but he's from the Golden Orchard. His level of awareness (high enough to know he can harmlessly grab Thimble's wings mid-flight) also makes him the most fun to troll—he's the only one who was likely raised in an environment where specific etiquette ruled regular humanoid-faerie interactions. I bet there's an accepted notion that being a pixie doesn't drain all rudeness from standing on someone's head without permission, but who can Julien complain to here?
