I have this Damian & Anya headcanon that I’m genuinely obsessed with.
I feel like Damian and Anya would become Imperial Scholars togehther and years before anyone else in their class. For a long time, they’d be the only students from their year attending all the Imperial Scholar ceremonies, dinners, meetings and other official Eden events.
The older Scholars would already know each other, but Damian and Anya would naturally gravitate toward one another because they’re the only kids their age.
They’d end up sitting together at dinners, waiting for ceremonies together, walking into events together and maybe just talking more because, who else are they supposed to hang out with?
And whenever there’s an official group photo, they’d almost always be standing next to each other.
Over the years, Damian would probably end up with dozens of official Eden photographs where he’s standing shoulder to shoulder with Anya in their Imperial Scholar capes.
And I just know one day he’d get one of those photos, stare at it for a long moment, grab a pair of scissors and quietly cut everyone else out. It would be such a Damian thing to do.
He’s sentimental in ways he’d never admit and I can absolutely picture him keeping that little cropped photo tucked inside a textbook or in a desk drawer, making sure it never gets bent.
If anyone ever found it, he’d probably come up with the worst excuse imaginable like “The framing is better”

Not because she’s the girl you’ve loved since you were six or because every major Imperial Scholar milestone you’ve experienced has had her standing right beside you. Definitely just the framing. :D
