April 14. Dinner. Picked up some grub from Smoque. I had a half slab of baby back ribs, and they are always delicious. I used to prefer the sliced brisket, which is amazing here, but I’m a total convert now to the ribs. With a side of brisket chili and cornbread. Incredible. Also, this is one of the best bbq joints in the city, and I love having them so close to our neighborhood. April 13. Dinner. Finally, some good news. Our favorite taqueria - Taqueria Mazamitla - reopened for take-out. Today was their first day back in business. Ordered up a feast, and the Boy and I walked over to pick it up. I had a picadillo gordita, a chicken torta (which was too huge, so I only nibbled so I could save it for tomorrow), pico de gallo and chips.
