my religion, you ask? the religion i have on my religion blog? the religion blog you currently read from right now? i’m a witch who worships the greek gods and have for a decade or so now, and to make a very long story short, i became interested in catholicism since it’s so different to how i was raised (born protestant, raised atheist from 5-6 or so). i started reading the bible, and it seems so split and contradictory (new american bible, joshua 24:19????) and because of that became interested in ancient gnostic* heresy. i started seeing parallels between mother mary/demeter and mary magdalene/persephone, who are the 2 goddesses who got me interested in hellenism, and whom i’ve had a connection to for as long as i can remember. so currently that’s what i’m exploring.
fuck racism, fuck homophobia, fuck transphobia, nobody is illegal on stolen land, from the river to the sea palestine WILL be free, and dni if you think otherwise.
i dislike institutional religion, but as long as you’re able to criticize the institutional religion you’re in, we’ll be chill
i’m here to enjoy my own time on the internet and to collect thoughts and ideas here, not to argue theology. don’t be a douche
*i use the word gnostic incredibly loosely. to my knowledge very few if any groups actually labeled themselves gnostic, it was a label pushed onto anybody who wasn’t (proto)catholic who the catholic church saw as not believing/worshipping right
