ok so corpseion(or corpsion) is a world made from the corpse of a dead titan( ik it’s like the owl house) titans are kind of like the mega gods, and they send an avatar to each world that becomes a god, so long as the titan is alive, they can send an avatar to each world that fits the requirements( there cannot be any gods if there are no beings to worship them) the titan that died was the titan of fire, and now they are just a regular god of the planet. Once the fire god manifested, the water god appeared, and brought balance.

They fought for a few thousand years using elemen(people made of the elements) eventually, earth elemen appeared after the ice and magma elemen fused, this called the nature and air god to create balance. Nature took domain over earth, while air made their own elemen, bringing an atmosphere.

A few thousand years later, the water god realised that their power had stagnated, and they transferred it to a snake, who became the first reborn god. This action made the mortals(humans appeared soon after the air god did) realise that they could take celestial power and become immortal. But they couldn’t just kill one of the existing gods, no they were too powerful. So instead, they fought over the 2 closest objects of unclaimed celestial power, the sun and moon. In the end the only survivors of this war were the beings who didn’t fight, and the sun and moon went to the children of the generals, both around 5 years of age. These children were known as Theo, who claimed the sun by climbing the mountain of corpses reaching upwards, and Anne, who claimed the moon after falling off the mountain of air. After all this death, the god of death appeared, making this war known as the war of the birth of the gods.

we skip forward a few million years, the air god was killed by a harpy, the new snake god created the yuan ti, then passed most of his power along, saving just enough to become the familiar of all water gods in the future. in order to stop the war between the fire god and the water god, nature sealed the fire god in his volcano.

any ways, its now this worlds equivalent version of the medievil times! this is where the story really starts! so, theres this war going on between the nature and air gods forces, which is known as the war of erosion. the main general is Sali leaf, a monkey folk from a long line of nature paladins, challenged the god of air to a duel and won, becoming the new god of air. around the same time, a yuan ti pirate killed a sea serpent who was actually the god of water. soon after that, in the yuan ti city of ouroboros, a beholder is killed by hunters, they take her eyestalks to make a spectator( a beholder can only become a death tyrant if their body is not living, and this includes having their eye stalks used to make a spectator). The hunters made one fatal flaw, however, they did not account for the fact that the beholder’s girlfriend would do anything to get her girlfriend back, even killing death himself. She went on a crusade across the land, and with aid from the church of fire and vengeance, she found and killed every last beholder hunter as well as the spectator who held her girlfriend’s soul hostage. Afterwards, she raised her girlfriend from the dead as a death tyrant( this is what was depicted in my Yuri I posted a couple of months ago). And for a couple of years, they all lived happily. The air god got an albino gold dragon as his wife, and they had a beautiful son, who went on to war with the giants. The water goddess found her girlfriend from before she killed her predecessor, and they started to rule a small underwater empire. but, unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. The god of fire eventually freed himself from his prison of magma, and as revenge, he sealed away the reborn gods (That's the air god, water goddess, and death goddess for those who forgot) with help from a multiversal criminal time mage sent to corpsion as a probationary period.

so anyway the reborn gods have been sealed away and, in order to protect them from others looking to claim the power of the gods, the nature goddess grew a magical forest around them.

now we enter what is known as the era of the lesser gods. due to the unbalance of power in the pantheon, the remaining gods created more gods as backups. examples of these gods are; Ippip, the goddess of speed and fast escapes; Xanathar, the king of the beholders; jubbilex, the lord of slime; or the alchemist, the second god of water and creator of the yuan ti (he wasn't sealed because he isn't techically a god). in this era, a band of heros rose to stop evil. with the aid of artefacts filled with abbysal power, they fought the decendant of the time mage who sealed away the gods. after a long campaign, the mage Naitsabes sacrificed himself in order to defeat the time mage. a lot of things happened at that moment. in his death throes, not only did Naitsabes create a new kind of magic with the express purpose to share knowledge, later called codex magic, he also created a race able to harness it instictively! this was not all, as he also fused his soul as well as the time mages to this new magic, meaning that anyone with a strong enough understanding of codex magic could access all of their knowledge (including a ritual that would awaken the reborn gods).

the world moves on, the new race, known as lehiniks, bring about a new age of magitech, with perhaps the most famous lehinik being Nik arseano (im a hwfwm fan i couldn't resist) creating the codex realm, which is just the internet.

anyway theres some other stuff that happens, as corpseion is now in modern times. the son of the air god gets into a lawsuit with a gaming company after they make a video game depicting his war with the giants (like sun wukong crossed with god of war) without his permission. the nature goddess has a secret identity a natsunae miku, a pop idol, but not much else happens.

anyway we're now in a cyberpunk world, 10000 years after the sealing of the reborn gods, and a quezecoatl(feathered snake people, though this one has a lehinik father and an air elemen mother, who died when she was young) girl (codename bloodied angel) and her crew have found the ritual to awaken them deep in the codex. after being paid, she goes and reawakens the gods.
