Stop telling people to just orphan their fics.

Orphaning a fic means giving up any and all ownership over it. No way to claim it back, edit it or delete it. Yes it's an archive but an author should still have the right to delete their work if they feel like they don't want it to be up anymore.

Readers always scream for authors to orphan their fics instead of deleting because they feel like they have a right to the fanworks that is shared with them for free. If it's so important to you to not lose a fic, download it. Also comment and encourage the authors, instead of telling them to give up all ownership to their work.

To authors, if you think about deleting your fics, there are other options you should employ first. If you don't want it connected to your name, put it into an anonymous collection. As long as it's in there, noone can see you wrote it, you still can edit ot or delete it and moderate comments on it. You can even move it to anther account, just create another one, add it as co author and then take your main account off. Then you can still edit it from your second account but it's no longer connected to your account.

If you don't want it to show anymore put it in a unrevealed collection, that way, the fic won't show up but it's still there, you can still see it, read comments and make it public again.

If you feel the urge to delete your fic, try one of these options first and see how you feel about it after a while, you can still delete or orphan afterwards, but this hopefully makes your decision easier.

Now, maybe I'm just at that point in my cycle or maybe I'm too delicate in general, but I literally teared up hearing that. Straight up cried a bit. It is so fucking sad that sincerity and genuineness is being bred out of people.

People say all the time 'this generation can't take anything seriously!' and really, is it any wonder? Younger people have been trained out of it. You are no longer encouraged to be genuine or show emotion or be honest. You are actively punished for it. In fact, you are almost guaranteed to suffer for it.

That is so fucked up. I'm sorry to go on a bit of a random ramble rant but it's so fucking gut wrenching to see younger people lose that element of themselves. You can't express your passion without being told you're 'crashing out' or 'cringe'. You have to live in this neutral state of fear of perception, and god forbid anybody step outside of it!

You're told you should only consume and succumb and be ironic and emotionless and cool.

Listen, if you're following me and you're like.... 25 or under, let's say. Please. I beg of you. Do not fall for this rhetoric. Please, for the love of all things, feel. Feel and create and be honest with yourself. Indulge in things that make you happy. Be sincere. Wear your heart on your sleeve. Do not let this hyper-capitalistic, hyper-consumerist, self-centred, individualist culture take that from you.

I'm not really sure she does.

Shampoo's pursuit of Ranma seems entirely obligatory. She has simultaneously the most sympathetic claim to Ranma, and also the least amount of personal emotional investment in Ranma as a person.

Shampoo can't go home to her people unless Ranma agrees to marry her. He's fucked up her life pretty badly. If he doesn't wed her, then she'll face... some kind of consequence, it's honestly not clear. But the point is, Shampoo's culture demands that she claim him as her husband.

That's really all there is to their dynamic. It's a cat-and-mouse game. A minute ago she was trying to murder him because her traditions demand it, and now she's trying to wed him because her traditions demand it.

This is what makes for such a complicated spin on the harem plot/love triangle dynamic. Emotionally, Akane deserves to win. Morally, Shampoo deserves to win. And legally, Ukyo deserves to win.

It's clear that Shampoo does have opinions on people. She detests Mousse, for instance. But she has a years-long personal relationship with Mousse, and she basically met Ranma yesterday.

So far as Ranma goes, Shampoo doesn't even really know him at all. Unlike Akane and Ukyo, Shampoo's never really spent time with Ranma socially. They are not friends.

She's a dumbass too! She's silly, headstrong and drags Roderich with her and he allows it because he cares about her and generally doesn't like conflict.

Enamórate [M-Rated, lemon, multichapter, Human!AU] This fic hasn't been updated since 2020 and it is actually meant to have PruAus as the endgame. What has been written so far, however, is just the SpAus part of it, from the blossoming of their love until the heartbreaking end of it and I need to share it because it gave me so much feelings back when I read it Q-Q ♥ It's very good although it doesn't end well for them (but hey, as SpAus shippers we're used to that idea, aren't we? T_T) Also I actually read it on Fanfiction dot net, I've just realized it's on AO3 too 😂
