In any case. I don't think Koyuki would be an ideal friend per se, but she would be a good friend for Nene, who deserves it (Neneyuki propaganda). Nene needs someone who will be honest and natural with her, someone with whom she can discuss a wide range of things that would normally be met with tsukkomi and "yuck" in society, because Nene is a girl with niche fandom interests and she absolutely needs someone like that to talk to. I'm sure Koyuki was drawing her fursonas in a school notebook in 2014, lol.

Of course, the mystery Koyuki isn't exactly a great fit for friendship; she's a dangerous creature for society who could go crazy at any moment, so they're doomed in that regard.

The real Koyuki has her own complexes that prevent her from being a normal person, and I wouldn't argue that she and Nene would have had their share of fights, not least because of Koyuki's antics. But if they had survived puberty, in both the sense of survival and personal growth, they would have truly been best friends, lol. Koyuki is actually a girl with a very big heart.

In any case, these quarrels would be something natural, and this is very important given that in Tbhk almost all relationships are built on secrets and cold avoidance of the partner, so I cling at least to the toilet trio, Terukane and my situationships with Koyuki, because even if the above-mentioned problems are present there, all the same, at least they communicate more often than once in a hundred years, and at least they resemble living teenagers.

Of course, Koyuki's excessive admiration for Nene — she might be her first crush — might hinder a full-fledged friendship a bit, but whatever it is, I really want to keep their relationship platonic in the end; it's just too cute. I'm just a monoshipper for the most part, it can't be helped if the girls already have their own Yugi, lol. I also think that it is important to maintain at least some platonic relationship and friendship in some form, even if it is not always possible to do it appropriately and beautifully, and this may raise questions — it is still better than the complete absence of it. This Koyuki's admiration of Nene is also rooted in her issues, and it's really funny how it manifests itself throughout the story. After all, the motivation for mystery Koyuki to getting closer to people is literally her time spent with Nene in the boundary of the Third. And I love how their relationship unfolds throughout the story, without being set in stone. The entire seventh volume is dedicated to them, too; it begins and ends with Neneyuki. They go all the way in these short five chapters, and I really believe it, lol. Koyuki communicates with Nene and becomes even more drawn to her, as if it weren't enough that she watched Tsukasa's brother and her through mirrors before they met. Kou gives her the photos she took of the gardening club, and who's in the picture? Bam-bam, there's Nene, and it finally becomes Koyuki's yorishiro. Miyage had been interested in Nene in life, but she'd forgotten about it, and now it's back in such a distorted form. Koyuki breaks the fight for her own interests, putting Nene's safety above her own fate, and it's simply mesmerizing. Mitsunene is greatly underrated in the fandom, but it's too late; I'm a Neneyuki fangirl. And it's ironic how, in the new timeline, it turns out Koyuki began copying Nene instead of Aoi, how she acted in middle school and what she was left with posthumously. Both times Koyuki gets to know Nene better, she shifts her values from blind admiration for appearances to respect for the personality of her role models, and Nene simply captivates her. Koyuki is so desperate for her lol.
