You may call me Fable (she/they/it, sapphic genderfae, between 18 and 22 but prefer not to be super specific for privacy/safety), and this blog is a journal of sorts. Namely, a journal of my own experiences as an otherkin, along with other kin-related content like moodboards and the like. I only started to truly explore the otherkin community and put a label to my experiences recently, but I have been feeling "nonhuman" and trying to figure out which creatures I connect with since I was a kid, haha.
I'm still questioning my kintypes, and I'm not completely sure about all of these because this seems like a lot, but so far I think my kintypes are:
Reindeer/caribou
Elf/fae (not the Christmas kind)
Peryton
Humanoid magically-animated statue (a bit more... Niche than my other kintypes, haha.)
Some type of equine (either a horse or a unicorn, still trying to figure out which.)
Tag list (still under "kinstruction" and subject to change until I decide how to sort everything):
#fable's kin journal - text posts about my own experiences as a nonhuman.
#fable's kin graphics - moodboards, userboxes, blog resources like dividers and headers, or other images I've made related to my kintypes. Assume that they're open for anyone to use unless otherwise stated. There's also #fable's kin art for drawings, though these are rare.
#fable's dreams - posts about lucid dreaming, which I sometimes use as an opportunity to experience being my kintypes. Please block this tag if lucid dreams are triggering or upsetting for you! I am not a shifter, do not tag my posts as reality shifting!
#fable's vents - vents about otherkin-related topics. May contain negative or upsetting content so again, feel free to block this tag.
#fable answers - responses to asks.
I block: Anti-kin (including anti-copinglink and anti-polykin), radqueers, discourse blogs, anyone under 13 (you shouldn't be on Tumblr anyways!), anyone who tags my dreaming posts as reality shifting, and regular bigots like TERFs and homophobes. I may also block blogs that are difficult to read, such as those that often use tiny text, large blocks of emojis, or typing quirks without plain text translations (nothing personal, I just want to keep my blog accessible). Any hate in my inbox gets deleted unless you're creative enough to make me laugh (you probably aren't).
Posts are sometimes queued, so just because I posted recently doesn't mean I'm online. I do tend to go on hiatus without warning, so please don't expect a quick response to anything, haha.
That's about all, I believe, so I wish you a warm welcome to my blog !!
