I'm fascinated by how the animators for TADC handle Caine's impossible anatomy so well. There's so much to balance and they've somehow engineered a solution for his expressions to hold during speech.
I also traced Caine answering the phone from episode 4 to demonstrate his phonemes and mouth shapes.
So, um are gonna give us a small hint of what you planned for our dynamic duo: Mumbles & Wehmut now that you seen the finale movie?
I have thought of two options, and I have made my decision on what's going to happen.
Please tell me what do you love most about Mumbles & Wehmut when you’re writing & drawing him?
Drawing their expressions, their emotions, both funny and scary. Writing how they would fit in the world properly because I want to respect how the characters would act. Importantly. He's a bit of me in them. I think this character is that one thing I felt I needed to express an inner conflict I have with myself. I'm glad I got to show it somehow, for others to relate or get out of in their own lives.

In a sketch u did in the past of Wehmut and Mumbles it said something about them showing up in the circus on their birthday. Is that still canon to their lore?
That concept is scrapped. Although, it was a really sad idea.

Since you seen the Cat in the Circus comic, do you know how Mumbles & Wehmut would initially react to finding out that Whiskin is a child?
he would feel disturbed for sure. A kid stuck existing in such a place would be awful. Would they grow up? Would they remain a child? Would he fear wehmuts volatile instincts would harm her or scare her? He would be conflicted, and avoid whiskin for awhile only to comfort her when shes scared or sad.
I find it funny how you draw Mumbles' feet. He looks like he was clumsy at first 😭

So do you believe Bubble’s “You really were the lesser of the two” line from Episode 8 could be relatable to Mumbles & Wehmut as well?
I could see it, maybe mumbles would have perceive Caine in a different way, knowing his struggle somehow. It's sad that the cast was just one conversation away to settle things somehow.
