ilya loves anya so so much! but he also really likes sleeping in. and ilya loves shane soo so much!! but shane doesnt really like sleeping in. all this to say: ilya is so so happy that he is living with shane now for at least one million reasons- and not having to be the one that does The Morning Walk™ is pretty high on the unofficial list

Poor guy’s only been here for like a dozen weeks he doesn’t even have a favorite show to distract him yet he’s just raw-dogging reality unfiltered with no goddamn Blorbos to rotate whatsoever

being a humanities major who’s friends with stem majors is so funny because you’ll ask your friends what they’re doing today and they’re like “UGH it’s so stressful i have to stabilize the reactor core for my nuclear power midterm and then i have to build the supercomputer from i have no mouth yet i must scream for my electrical engineering homework :/ what about you” and you’re like “oh well i have to read a fun little book and write an essay about gender.” and they still think you have it worse

Being a stem major who's friends with humanities majors is ALSO funny bc you ask what's goin on with them and they're like "oh yeah my day's pretty good! I only have to read 50 pages for this one class today and half a book for another one. It's much better than last week where I read three books and wrote a 10 page paper about their overlapping motifs for one class while also researching a niche period of time that our library doesn't have any resources on. How's it been for you?" and you're like "oh I have a lil packet of fun math puzzles due tomorrow." and they look at you like you're carrying the weight of the universe on your back

This is your reminder that just because something falls within the skillset you've practiced, so you can do it and you don't find it particularly hard or stressful relative to other things, it doesn't mean it isn't actually hard work you should be proud of yourself for accomplishing!

Pynch is forever S tier because Ronan is like the first time I ever saw him I knew I had to have him, because subconsciously I knew he was the presence I dreamt of all those years ago in my loneliest of times, and I begged God for even the slightest sliver of a chance. And Adam is like the first time I saw him he outperformed me at groceries and that was when I knew I had to sell my soul to become an academic weapon. Also it wasn't him.

shane hollander does not have a reserved 'baby voice' for kids. that man is holding proper conversations with the pike children. goo goo ga ga? yes, what an excellent take on the montreal property market. i must consider. truck red? mmm, i prefer green, but each to their own, i guess. hayden, who was asked by theriault to look out for shane in his rookie season and has now ended up with a 25 year old son, can only watch on in wonder as arthur pike learns what taxes are before attending a day of school.

Shane Hollander continues to not share many personal photos on his social media post-relationship reveal. He'll happily appear in many of Ilya's posts and interact with them, but he still doesn't want to share too much of their personal life online to avoid scrutiny and unwanted attention. Sometimes this brings criticism and rumors, but mostly people get used to it and find it endearing, Ilya posts more freely and Shane is more reserved. Until one day Shane posts a video of a shirtless Ilya passed out on top of him, mouth a little open and hand hanging on to Shane's neck, with the caption "put him right to sleep" with "Tapout" as the audio. It goes so viral, it surpasses their relationship confirmation and wedding posts in likes in just a couple of days.
