Grace tries not to move, too startled to even make a reaction. Someone makes the observation that maybe is a reaction of the bite and since it was a modified astrophage it might mean that she thinks she is in love with him. Grace, who obviously has a big fat crush on her, is mortified and tries to hide from her. But that only makes her more keen of being glued to him.

Just when he was sure he avoided her, he hears her sniffing and crying while looking for him and he cannot bear that she is crying because of him. She tells him that she likes him and knows he doesnt like her back, but she cannot stop and she is ruining the mission. He knows she is only saying that because she thinks she is in love with him so he swallows his feelings.

Grace sighs and hugs her, telling her that she should sleep it off and that he’s going to walk her back to her room. Once they reach it, she asks him to sleep with her which makes Grace anxiety multiply by millions.

She begs him and he is not a brave man, nor he is a strong one, so he agrees. Stratt falls asleep almost immediately and he spends hours just looking at her, trying to memorize her every single detail.

The next morning, she wakes up before him and pretends nothing has happened which hurts him a little but its only his fault. He knew not to get his hopes up and still he did.
