There are many fun reasons to have a character avoid using guns, but I think "this otherwise-awesome fighter is a really terrible shot" is an underappreciated one. Yes, they're available in my setting and would work against my enemies. No, I don't have a moral code against them or a power that makes them redundant. I just can't aim for shit!
In general IMO the more badass and hypercompetent a character is, the more they're enriched by having one skill they're just absolutely hopeless at. Terrible shot, terrible liar, terrible dancer, no poker face, no sense of direction, can't drive, can't swim, can't cook, can't read, always broke, always late, always falls for a certain trick...

Saw the odyssey in like an actual true 70mm full imax theater and i have conflicting thoughts on the movie itself but by god. That is the way to watch a fuckin movie especially that one. Worth seeing at one of those if you have access to one if only because it is the only experience of its kind. Anyways my gripes aside i am happy that the movie gave proper consideration to cinematic lighting and making its nighttime scenes visible. And also agamemnon was freaking epic

This is such a sophisticated home, that even the child's room is color-coordinated beige. 1928 Hollywood Heritage / English style estate in Woodland Hills, CA. 6bds, 9ba, 6,474sqft, $5.995m (Zillow's est.: $5,697,400). It was once owned by actor Gene Hackman.
